Wow, I never knew laser were so intricate! I've always wanted to get a behind the scenes look at how they run IllumiNations. Stuff like that utterly fascinates me!
Lasers can be pretty simple. High power lasers are a challenge.

A typical laser pointer around 1 milliwatt. These lasers are up to 30 watts. That's 30,000 times the power of a laser pointer.

A laser tech once told me "if one of these monsters catches you on the eye, close your eye first and then turn away (rather than the other way around). It's better to have a hole in your retina than a slit."

Yikes!

Did anyone notice in the first video posted, the lighting on the different countries seemed different? It seemed to me they were doing more with it...
