New pyro product test for Reflections of Earth

The best way though to true test it is to place it into the field and see how it does and how guest respond to it.

Well we've seen how it does...sloppy. So how do they properly judge guest response, by applause?? Yikes, hope not.. if there's fire in the sky, people will cheer!

Hahaha I wouldn't be surprised if they ask people and watch these forums. When I was at the world I was asked to participate in 7 surveys on what I though about an attraction or the quality if it or if the CM were helpful

So if it's not a supply issue, the question now seems to beg, why are they testing product that is weaker and not nearly as effective as what was being used??
Wow, no one caught my drift. Anyway, they are changing it because Bob said to. He's on this green kick and that test show was full of products that replaced the most hazardous shells to the environment. No one is behind him on this one, but how can you argue with the CEO?

The water in the EPCOT area is probably already so polluted by 31 years of fireworks that the switch is probably feel-good but no results/improvement. If you so much as touch the water with any bit of skin you better be up to date on your tetanus vaccination.

I don't know why, but I like illuminations from ten or fifteen years ago more than illuminations now. I think it was brighter and more exciting.

I don't know what has changed recently, but the big bursts int he sky seemed a little less thrilling and there seemed to be a lot of blue and white.

Less good in general. And the pre-show music these days kind of bites, IMO.

Have there been anymore "tests"? I've noticed in recent videos, the first ground bursts in Chaos are still the same shells they used for the test, so I'm guessing those will be the new norm. I haven't seen anything else that's different, and am glad to see they haven't done away with the screamers.

It seems like the changes in pyro they tested a while ago are what is currently the norm. I've seen a few vids of recent shows and they all look the same as far as the addition of the new pyro.

Does anyone know for sure whether or not this is a permanent change, or just a supply issue? I sure will miss the screamers if it is permanent.

Thanks all!

I'd rather a new show than butchering Reflection of Earth. The show has had some minor changes through the years.... But in the original 2000 show Disney were proud to announce that special colours had been developed for the show etc... Now it's all generic pyro. Such a shame. I miss the burst of blue and the screamers.
