I don't think they are building the "Polyday Inn" too fast. I think they are building this at a normal pace and not the snail's pace they do when they are building/updating attractions.
Magical when the light is like that, just magicalView attachment 770515
Apologies for the horrible picture but here's a current look at the paint progress.
Wild to see such vertical development in Flamingo Crossroads. When do the other anchor tenants like Five Below and Staples start construction?View attachment 770515

While I'm with you about not judging things before completion, the concept art for this one isn't promising.Don't you just love when things are judged before completed, not sure why the human brain works that way but it certainly does for Disney projects
That said, this thing is starting to look like hot garbage
Photographers wait all day - sometimes multiple days - to get a golden light like that.Magical when the light is like that, just magical
There will also be snakes to really sell it. If you’re listening to the area music and trip over a snake and spill your Dole Whip, you’ll be transported.Classic example of lipstick on a pig --plant a few palm trees call it Polynesia

That's what everyone said when they built the Riviera.... and then it was done... and it still looked like a chain hotel...and had nothing to do thematically with anything in the area....and didn't really have a theme itself...unless it was Marriot Hotels USAIt's not done yet
If I were elected the new King of WDW Parks, the first thing I would do is tear down these eyesores and put real themeing back into the rooms and lobbies of the other hotels where it has been stripped out of.That's what everyone said when they built the Riviera.... and then is was done... and it still looked like a chain hotel...and had nothing to do thematically with anything in the area....and didn't rerally have a theme itself...unless it was Marriot Hotels USA
you have my vote --when do we storm Bobs office. If I were elected the new King of WDW Parks, the first thing I would do is tear down these eyesores and put real themeing back into the rooms and lobbies of the other hotels where it has been stripped out of.
