Not just the wedding pavilion- the view across the lagoon is really affected by this.fair, the picture does compress it a bit more than in person. But, there is no doubt it encroaches. The new tower is (or at least feels) closer than the GF DVC tower.
There is planned decor elements that will go on the building...hopefully making it look more like the Polynesian resort, but the current renderings look more like a nice modern hotel than anything Polynesian....Not just the wedding pavilion- the view across the lagoon is really affected by this.
While I’m not a fan of the cheapened tower they built at the grand, at least at the end it looked like part of the resort.
That poor wedding Pavilion
While I will agree that the view of the walk up to the wedding pavilion will change, the view once you are inside will not change from the current view of MK. You will forget that the other buildings even exist during a wedding ceremony and the pictures will still show the same awesome view that it currently shows.
Also, I'm sure the wedding pavilion isn't soundproof. That eyesore will be filled with people, along with the pool and other outdoor areas.I realise there will still be the same experience inside the pavilion.
However as the bride, groom and guests arrive they will now have a building site in view. Even when it’s finished the uniqueness of the setting will be over-shadowed by the new tower. It doesn’t have quite the same feel to me at least.
