Is there any indication on a possible opening for this? Wasn’t the whole point of this project to help spread crowds out in that area once Guardians opened? And don’t give me the BS covid excuse either
As long as CMs are still tackling little kids to stop them from getting anywhere near a character that they just want to hug like they are some kind of terrorist threat then this place will not open anytime soon...Is there any indication on a possible opening for this? Disney hasn’t provided a timing update in ages. Rumor mill has been unusually quiet. The people I know who know things don’t know anything here except that it’s not canceled. I’m guessing we won’t get an update until D23.Is there any indication on a possible opening for this? No, there was 1 additional update with vague timing that later disappeared from the website.Eerily quiet.
Has the last official update been the initial announcement 3 years ago? Not including the Epcot Experience content on it.
It will be jam-packed with snot-nosed toddlers and we will immediately want to escape.
Finally more info on the Play Pavilion.
Which will be no more! It's also featured in the EPCOT Experience.
Gotta stick that Encanto M&G somewhere...Which will be no more!

The park maps currently show the former WoL pavilion as “future home of Play Pavilion” so they are definitely moving forward with it.Perhaps at this point, they may just be walking back the plans. We know that work has been done on the building previously, but post-covid with their aversion to hands on experiences and upclose meet and greets, I can plausibly see this becoming another temporary space as a "Festival Center", especially since it appears that the dessert party building is not coming to fruition. I would laugh if they chose to do all of this work for nothing, just as they did with the center of Future World.

I2 got exceptional reviews and made over $1B at the Box Office and has been regularly represented in the parks in DHS and injected into The Contemporary. Disney ain't going to abandon it.I wouldn't be surprised if some of the experiences for Play are rethemed or gone. Main one I can see getting the boot being the Incredibles experience since Incredibles 2's release window has long gone away.
