EPCOT New Play Pavilion to replace Epcot's Wonders of Life

I guess that really depends on what you mean. I think there's potential for Wonders, the next iteration of CommuniCore, and a far-future Mission: Space replacement to be multi-attraction spaces, but that's not really a defining trait of a traditional EPCOT pavilion either. Up until Wonders all of Future World East were single attraction pavilions (unless you count the Transcenter as its own thing).

I don't think we'll see a traditional EPCOT anything again unless it's a refurb of something that already exists. At best we'll see something decades from now if we ever do.
The only thing that really strikes me as "traditional EPCOT" is the restaurant Space 220. It feels like something that could've easily existed in 80s EPCOT.

I would definitely consider transportation a multi-attraction pavilion since the Transcenter offered several other things to see/do. Horizons and Universe of Energy were single attractions, although obviously UofE lasted as long as 4 attractions.

A single attraction is okay, but ideally it would be something much longer/more involved than Cosmic Rewind.

I’d say Awesome planet, Canada far and wide also fit that. Journey of water has the makings but the ip tie ins and more polynesian vibe definitely makes it less so.
journey of water is just poisoned by the memory of what it replaced, otherwise a fantastic addition. I'd wager there would be very little complaints if it was somehow squeezed somewhere else in future world

They'll 100% never do this, but now is as good a time as any...

This needs to be a World's Fair pavilion celebrating the 1964-1965 World's Fair. It would be the excuse to relocate it's a small world (and open another access point for Cars / Villains), Carousel of Progress and One Man's Dream. If we're getting truly pie in the sky you can also add Horizons Century 3 as a new build.

Moving and rebuilding 3 non-IP attractions?? Is everyone smoking today? Lol! Only messing but I think whats more likely is a new version of Play Pavillion or Wonders of Life (with Baymax + Inside Out being perfect anchors to represent Physical and Mental health)

Whatever goes into the Wonders plot at this point almost has to be a family-friendly attraction. There's not a single thing in that entire area of the park that little kids can do, which is a drastic departure from when there wasn't a single thing at EPCOT that a kid *couldn't* do. The Play Pavilion was somewhat of a knee jerk response to many things, but this was one them.

I’m down. The issue is, there are 2 other things in future world competing for a spot. WHEN any of them happen are up in the air. I don’t expect this to happen anytime soon. I know inside out was a dream ip for this space but I don’t think it is anymore. Wasn’t the last thing we heard was magic eye?

Either way, this is kinda far down the list.

It's being looked at again. I don't know timetables or what for, but I know there's been talk. I think Inside Out here was always kind of a pipe dream, it's a big IP for the relatively small Cranium theatre while Magic Eye is effectively vacant and much higher capacity. That said, I have no idea what else you would put in the Cranium theatre. It can't really be repurposed for anything other than a show, which leads me to believe it either won't get repurposed (sealed off like with Play) or, more likely, they'll just take the whole building down and start over.

Just curious... Have you heard "Weather Pavilion" being tossed around again? I don't see a kid-friendly IP for that though.

I mean, good. Space should be used. I like that Epcot is being looked at again. It probably won’t make the 50th, but I do hope it comes after the current round of things. It is probably gonna be torn down, but at this point, it’s probably better.

I’m glad Epcot could get love again. With test track getting a cool Epcot classic redo, if that goes well and it respects Epcot, if we get more stuff like it for the three problem children, I think Epcot could be in good shape soon. Could be worth the wait. And if we are being honest, maybe the cancellations were blessings in disguise. Sorta. Anything now will probably be ten times more respectful to go epcot than any chapek era concept (that we know)

Sorta. It's been one of those 'eternal' rumors.
I mean, it would make sense with villains, the door coaster, indy retheming dino , and a cars land at wdw all coming back from the grave, after all of them being past rumors in some form. Disney is really digging through its metaphorical “trash” (not in a bad sense, all these ideas seem cool) lately.

Muppets rnrc too!
