Just when I thought they were done making the Haunted Mansion a juvenile and campy playground, they spring another small detail like this on me.

I wish Phil Holmes wasn't so obsessed with "plussing" the Haunted Mansion.

The Mansion is my favorite thing about Disney, and I love this. How is this, in any way, supposed to take away from the Mansion? I can't wait until our trip next month to get a picture with Mrs. Wookiee!

I believe this is at Disneyland, not MK. Could be mistaken, however.

Not that it means much, since people travel and all, but the Tweet was from somebody in Bay Lake, FL. Other pictures tweeted by him/her within the last 24 hours are definitely from Orlando.

Couple things I noticed in her updates are the sight line balloon tests from yesterday, scaffolding going up at the great ceremonial house at Poly ( which rumors indicate is being rebuilt ), they've changed the wood construction wall at Casey Jr to a fence which would lead to believe its about to be unveiled and they added some more night time lighting on the trees in Storybook Circus.

Because it takes away, AGAIN, from the eerie, gothic, seriousness of the outside and gives us a carnival type photo op, AT THE EXIT. WHat 1800s Mansions had "head on body" photo ops at thier Mausoleums???? It degrades the Mansion more and turns it into a joke and something not to be even taken seriously. It's just another "ride" in an "amusement park" now.

Not a fan. There are good photo-ops like Jaws at Uni and stocks in Liberty Square because they are organic and seamless. This is the opposite of that.

If they could do some kind of "marble" effect via the Photopass photographers, I think it'd be great. But just human heads on top of marble bust shoulders would just look....odd.
