New Photo-Op at HM

If they could do some kind of "marble" effect via the Photopass photographers, I think it'd be great. But just human heads on top of marble bust shoulders would just look....odd.

I thought the same thing as soon as I saw it. I could see my niece wanting a photo like that but would have to at least shoot it in B&W just so it didn't look so strange

Ditto. I think it's cheap and detrimental to the quality and immersion of the ride and park. Why won't they stop!?!

I'm waiting for Phil and Meg to greenlight Mansion Midway Games and maybe a Mansion strenhgth test game since that's what they want. Thank God for Disneyland.

That’s a good point about shooting it in B&W. However, with the ubiquitous number of computer based digital image programs, photos can be changed at the drop of a hat. I think a lot of people will be using Photoshop to change the epitaphs on the tombstones to phrases that are not Disney approved. I envision a website popping up that might offer such a service so that the Photoshop challenged can play too!

As someone who has enjoyed the ride for over 30 years... I like it.

If they put it at the start of the interactive queue, where it would mess with tempers and crowd flow, that would be bad. If they took one of the most popular rides in the MK and forced everyone as a herd through a themed gift shop a la Pirates, that would be bad. But a couple statue busts at the exit for a photo op? I like it.

I haven't actually seen it yet, so I'm assuming it's not going to cause bottlenecks, but near that area is going to be opened up into FL soon anyway.

And if I had a time machine, I'd get Walt and Thurl Ravenscroft to pose next to each other on these things and have a lot of fun with urban legends.

I think it's kinda cute. I mean at least it's not one of those "cheap wood board cut out" style ones or the "let us take your picture against a green screen and transform you" types. :brick: Even places like the San Diego zoo are bugging us with those green screen photos as you go through the zoo now!
If you don't like it, don't stop for a picture there. As for the comment about using Photoshop to add in captions that are not "Disney friendly", wouldn't people do that anyway to similar pictures, even if this wasn't available?

Why is this so bad? Sheesh. It in NO WAY affects the ride, does it? It's a nice photo op for family/kids/couples. Whew, people just find things to complain about on here anymore lol.

I dont think this is too bad. It really doesnt look all that intrusive so I dont see any real harm. I will hold final judgement for 3 weeks from now when I can see it live.
