Lets get a WDWMagic posse together and take the hat down ourselves after hours.

There's a few loose cannons on this board that I can mentally picture going to town on the bah, beating the carp out of it with a shoe while screaming obscenities.

I may or may not be one of them. But only because I hate bad design. Study it in college for a few years and that'll happen to ya. I'd do the same to the tombstones at Epcot. And, sorry, but Marie the cat under the flag at MK. You don't know how much that makes my eye twitch.

I've seen this "4 parks" brochure at the Disney Outlet store off Vineland before. In fact, I grabbed one to send to a friend since it covered all four parks.

By chance I was a Yacht & Beach Club tonight. They did not have this packet at the front desk. It does look like the ones they have at off-site hotels and tourist locations. I'll have to venture out and see if I can find one.

Check at the Swan and Dolphin, I think that's were I got the one I have back in 2009.

We have finally found out the 2015 celebration theme for Walt Disney World! In 2015, it will be "The Restoration Year of the Magical Park Hubs" (I had to include the word Magical due to contractual liabilities).

I'm pretty sure that this packet was in the "book" at our resorts on this trip. It looks might familiar, although I didn't examine the maps.

Was at WDW this past week, stayed at Old Key West. The DHS park map I picked up still had Backlot Tour listed. Just some random FYI.

Look at danlb_2000's second photo. That hat does not thematically belong where it is.That view is one of (a supposed) old Hollywood streets. Now they go and drop some huge gaudy monstrosity right in the middle of that view and screw it all up. That's why I hate the hat.

I have the UK version (September 2014 edition), or rather the extended version of this leaflet, however the maps look like this:

The ONLY reason why the hat was originally well received was because of when it was placed along with other large landmark changes at the time. Not to mention it gave the magical illusion that maybe they had done SOMETHING to upgrade TGMR. It wouldn't be a bad idea to perhaps relocate the hat closer to the remains of the animation studio and have that whole area become more of an animation tie together (studio > little mermaid > Pixar place). Kind of an old school / new school park split. But who knows what the new tying theme for DHS will become with many speculated changes in the works.

I will say that I am not against the BAH, but it stinks in its current location. Get it out of and away from the main street you see when entering the park. Move it outside the gates, or into Animation Courtyard.

Just picked one of these booklets at one of the nearby hotels. Everything posted here is seen on the map. Oh, if they would really remove the hat!

In case some missed it, Martin hinted in another thread that the upcoming redo of DHS involves the hat (i'm assuming by involved, he means a relocation or removal).

We just returned last week and the those images are definitely NOT from the park maps we got.
