I agree the BAH doesn't belong in front of the Chinese Theatre, and this is coming from someone who never visited DHS before the hat. My first trip to MGM was ten years ago, in 2004 at the age of nine. My parents (who spent their honeymoon at WDW and were there for MGM's opening week during that honeymoon) kept telling us about The Great Movie Ride, so when we got there I looked for it but couldn't find it at first. We finally figured out the gigantic hat was blocking it and the ride was behind it. Even my nine-year -old self took note how stupid the placement of this hat was.

Problem with that...It would ruin the Morocco sightline from Epcot..
I say flat out destroy it...There is NO Reason to "Move it" anywhere else...Earful Tower Is-Was-and-Has been the Icon of DHS..

You're forgetting the hill that it would be sitting atop, so yes, it is that tall.

In 2007 I'd taken this picture from the stunt show, as I saw the three park icons at the time (they were trying to muffle Earful Tower back then). Of course, one must account for perspective, but I'm sure it would at least be as tall as the roof on the back of the building. Doing some dirty geometry, it looks like it might be hidden by the Marrakesh Palace from the classic angle, but it's really not something that should be messed with.
I guess I've gotta say parking lot or bust, although placed where there are currently filmstrip-style pictures of the inside would also be nice. It would block the Tower from sight for much of your entrance, but that kinda makes the reveal at the edge of Sunset Boulevard all the more exciting I suppose.

Look at this map I marked where people say "Oh it would be great to see it there" I for one would like it burned to the ground..The 2 Spots are in the Epcot Sightline...Look at ToT and then look at the position where the hat would be from my image I posted above (Yeah I'm lazy and I don't want to Photoshop it.)

Maybe they could paint it pink-ish and put a tassel on it and then it would look kinda morocco-ish/arabian-ish;/turk-ish and then it wouldn't ruin the sight lines from EC????

The hat is 78' shorter than ToT. I don't think you would see it from Epcot looking past Morocco even though it would be right in line with where ToT is now.

if you look on bing maps "birds eye veiw" you can see that TOT and the areas people are talking about aren't on any on a hill but the exact same level, but it'd be pretty close either way
