Yes, there will be one giant "ON OFF" toggle switch on the ground with all of the wires running from the crazy glued on lights, out of the seams to it. A guy named Jayson will stand there every night and flick it on and off in time to the music. When he is off, It will be Ramona. They are in "show training" now. Because NO ONE has ever had to install anything through a roof membrane and patch the hole. Flat (and in this case rounded) membrane roofs can develop leaks at entry points and along seams. It happens. I don't think every single light goes through the roof membrane, but the data and power cable will be run to a few locations where they can be punched through the membrane to the interior where the controls and drivers will be, Or maybe they will run to the back where they can run onto the rooftop of the load/postshow building without being seen. Some people around here take "SEAMLESS" WAY to literally.
Me know nothing about lectrikcity, but I do understand sarcasm. You seem so pressed on defending something that no one is really attacking that I have to wonder if you are related to the imagineer that came up with this. BTW, it was @marni1971 that suggested that it has happened before where the membrane was damaged. In my opinion, Martin has forgotten more about WDW then you will ever know. So try to lighten up just a tad. Your post started out as a comical sarcastic post, but took a toxic turn where you had to attempt to prove my stupidity. Talk about people that take seamless way to literally.

I love the “you defend it you must be related” attack. Very fresh and inventive LOL. And you can have your opinion, but you have no idea how much I know or don’t about WDW so your immature attack is ill informed and pointless. Talk about people that take this whole site way too literally.

One could turn your own ad hominem attack against you and suggest you're related to marni1971 as an easier way of debating with you than addressing your actual point.
Epcotlegacy's video shows how that would look if they did a new years projection and utlizing the points of light at the end .
Haha, love the points of light simulation, but the projections make me chuckle a bit. I'm hoping it's generally more subtle color-shifting that connects attitudinally to the LED strips in the courtyard.

I'm sure that's the plan..Seeing it in a multitude of different color transitions throughout the night and what ever they intend to do with PoL will make SSE a better looking icon..

The workers I support whole heartedly. The concept, not so much, yet! I'll reserve the rest of my judgement until it actually is used.

People on these boards are exaggerating the impact these have on the appearance of SSE. Some even think it improves it. That will become the predominant opinion over time in my opinion.

Well, it's better than a odd arm growth with a wand I'll tell you that..

How can they do such a good job on the entry area but such a lousy job on the rest of the park? How did this AND the Tacos With a Donut" both get approved?
The lagoon is clearly just a massive blunder from a logistics perspective. The show tech was obviously never supposed to stay on the water, but instead of rethinking things when their error became apparent, they doubled down. I've always thought every dock and fireworks barge they rolled out there was unsightly even in the best of times, but this takes it to another level. I kinda wish they'd just accept that they need something permanent out there, build an island, and put a domed building that looks like something out of a classic World's Fair out there. Projection map it instead of wheeling out screens, and conceal the firework launch points on the island.
