The old loop as in the one before previous? It had One Little Spark, Honey I Shrunk the Audience, Mission Space, Golden Dreams, Living Seas, Ellen, and the really Classic Loop within it.

Maybe it's because the previous loop might not sync up with the new lighting.It's news to me!
Why would they create the new loop that is playing there now? Why not just keep the old one until the new one is ready...

Penguin's referring to the original loop from 1982.
A slower variation One Little Spark is heard briefly at the 16:57 mark.

I also remember Soarin’ being part of the old loop. Honey, Golden Dreams, Ellen, and a (instrumental?) One Little Spark I think I remember.

One Little Spark is briefly played for the original 1982 entrance loop. However it's a much slower variation.

Dropping in to say that the original 1982 entrance loop may be the best composition ever made for a theme park.

Anyway, the new new music was meant to debut when certain attractions opened. But they didn’t. So in the interim it was decided to still move away from the old loop to suggest the park - more so the entrance area - has been updated.

Maybe it became a placeholder after it was used and complaints came from powerful people. That's something that could be redone easily with no explanation required.

While I love the original loop, it does have some noticeable omissions: a true Horizons segment and Living Seas. While I know they were not in the park at the time of opening, I hope the new and upcoming music loop is reflective of ALL the changes coming to "new Epcot": open and yet to open.
Like, will there be elements of the new Spaceship Earth score that was announced to accompany the revamped attraction? Time will tell.....

I remember for weeks it was difficult to find the CD for that. Apparently there was a run on it after every parade. LOL. All I know is the first time I saw the parade with a friend, he turned to me in mid parade and pointed at the speaker and said "I. Must. Have. This.
