I interpret the trees to mean the giant spider web will also be removed. Hopefully.
@marni1971 said the trees should be taken as "we don't know what we are going in the space yet"

Well I am glad that they finally remove the "EPCOT War Memorial" ((They died for us - Never forget), it was a terrible idea from the beginning and ugly. But I am more than only a little irritated by the fact that there are absolutely no building structures behind SSE visible. I hope this is because it is only concept art and it only shows what is important to show, it doesn't mean that they plan to tear out the heart of Future World and replace it with virtually nothing than some trees and meadows and perhaps some topiaries. From the viewpoint of urban design this would be catastrophic, it would create a huge gap with nothing between Future World East and West and FW would kind of fall apart after they remove the urban core with Fountain Plaza and the Innovention buildings. And SSE becomes a totally isolated solitary building and loses it's gateway function.
It’s see through. Not necessarily inconsistent with what the edge of the pavilion currently looks like...

It’s just art. Don’t worry. But I am more than only a little irritated by the fact that there are absolutely no building structures behind SSE visible..
No.Ok, I know I joked about it in the other thread, but can we please talk about this?
Is Seas being demoed/redesigned?
Is this just bad perspective in the drawing and is actually Land?
Does this mean anything?
I'm betting this is going to be a flex building that houses the exhibits during festivals, now that WoL is being gutted, innovations being demolished and odyssey being used as a preview center. Probably mixed with dining/shopping

That clears things up a bit...I guess. Thanks.
That was my first thought as well... I'll be looking forward to more details...I'm betting this is going to be a flex building that houses the exhibits during festivals, now that WoL is being gutted, innovations being demolished and odyssey being used as a preview center. Damn. I'll be at Aulani during D23. I was planning on going offgrid while there as much as possible.D23 is conveniently-scheduled.
Probably take off the photo plaques, consolidate the plaques on another type of wall, drop tombstones in the sea to make a reef. The article says that the "Photos" will be moved. I wonder if they will keep the monoliths, or present the photos in some other form.
I just updated with some more info on that. The article says that the "Photos" will be moved. I wonder if they will keep the monoliths, or present the photos in some other form.
Glad they went with this version of the entrance, but surprised that Communicrossroads was not announced along with this.
Work starts in the spring! Woohoo.
Very curious how the rendering shows parts of Innoventions East but nothing for Innoventions West...
