nice. really nice.... *right click, save*

martin, what is housed in the 2 vertical cylinders that are half way from the geosphere and the old post/corporate building. at one time i remember it being some sort of gears/engine for the omnimover. is that my imagination or creditable?

 You mean the big tubes, with doorways either side? The east one had a storage area for the old Guest Relations desk there. The west one has a lift and stairs up to the corporate lounge for SSE.

Write a book? It`d be a never ending series....

ok, so they are simply decrative (in a sense).... i was really hoping that they housed some massive gears and motors. oh well.

fine with me. never ending series means a never ending extra paycheck... and of course, many tales for our disney conrads.

Nope... no pics on the HD. Not yet anyhow (the cataloguing system is in a bit of a mess) I`ll try to find a web pic, however I should say the original plaza landscaping was removed during the `94 Innoventions construction. The Pin Station was added around the same time as Millenium circus theming.

Marni, what was the reason for leveling Future World Central? I recently found the same picture as the one you posted earlier in one of the old souvenir guides and almost died to see a lake on either side of Innoventions. I was also watching some old WDW home movies and spotted the "old" FWC.

I still can't believe they did this. The "new" colors from '94 look like the Saved by the Bell theme of the Wonders of Life interior. Pavement over grass and water is not futuristic, it is sad.

I don't think I would really want this to happen but it would be cool to see Spaceship Earth gold.
I have no problem with a gold SE, as long as the gold is merely the projection of yellow-colored lights on the original Alucobond exterior after sunset... :D

Hopefully they'll put that lighting scheme into effect in about 25 years... ;)

SSE's cars are propelled by motors placed along the sides of the track throughout the ride. Every time your car hits a "bump", that's a ride motor grabbing hold of your vehicle and propelling it along to the next motor.
