New nighttime show 'Rivers of Light' confirmed to be coming to Disney's Animal Kingdom

Source is my DD who was a past FOTLK CM and has been talking to here friends who are still there...

That's really NOT GOOD because it means the CM's don't see getting hours in the near future. I was secretly hoping that the end of Jungle Book meant that RoL was fixed and show ready, Apparently this as usual is not the case. It's stuff like this from Disney that has made me into the Curmudgeon I am today

If they had no intention of opening RoL until Spring I don't think they would put RoL as a excluded FP option on the paper FPs. As @marni1971 said they usually print those out at the start of each month.

That is not why. Resume the search.

It is a great park to have a pass for and hit in the evenings after work. Pound for pound, I would put The Beast up against any coaster anywhere.
Me too! My son hit 48" mid summer this year. Riding The Beast at night with him was an experience that I can't put into words. I literally teared up.lol. I love that park and I love that roller coaster.
As a person with long legs I no longer find this ride enjoyable at all.. It was great when I was under 6'2" or so..
There is a thread on this site where people are complaining about Space Mountain being too rough. I thought- obviously they've never been on a wooden coaster.lol

The main problem is all of the newish "safety features". My kid's head bags side to side on the seat partitions while riding the Racers, Beast, Back Lot Stunt Coaster, and the Vortex. :( To be fair though I've always taken a beating on the Vortex.

We will be doing 2 "new for him" rides at WDW this year Rockin' Roller coaster and Primeival Whirl. Looking forward to both!

Sorry to go off topic, and I really hope ROL is open by Dec. 2nd, but Beast has nothing on El Toro at Six Flags Great Adventure.

I think with the Beast it's the age, nostalgia, and iconic presence that it has...especially at night.

It's tough to compare it to the newer coasters..they're just so different now. The Beast is classic amusement park at it's best.

I think that's why I love Space Mountain so much as well, even more than Everest. It's stood the test of time.

P.s. I am hoping and wishing that Mystic Timbers does in fact get the drop track that everyone has it rumored to have. That would be awesome. I would say that I've been stalking it, but I can't hold a candle to the efforts on this thread..so I'll say that I'm 'watching' it. ;)

Ok..prfctly is going to kill us. Back to RoL. Lol

Have dress rehearsals been going on every night? It seems if this was going to open this month they would be rehearsing for at least a week or two before. Shouldn't the cast know by now or at least in the next week?

I know, I know.. my stalking is sick. But I know from following him forever... okay I'm going to run away now. I am actually going to Disney so keep the ROL spirit (and thread) (oh and stalking) alive for me while I am gone! :)

I've been stalking for awhile now, so the clues are a bit more hidden. He def works on ROL because in the past he's posted a photo of CMs eating dinner and it said when the Poly cast meets ROL cast. He also had another post of a painting saying that the late ROL rehearsals had him exhausted. Now there's this, which states "late night rehearsal" and he's wearing a SHAMAN beard. Shamans are in ROL

"The nighttime entertainment event, choreographed by Ulka Simone Mohanty, will begin with the arrival of two Shamans, which are two complimentary forces who come to Discovery River bringing gifts of light. With their assistants, also called Acolytes, the Shamans will set out from the shore in lantern vessels, while a dramatic dance of water and life takes place to summon animal spirits."

When you're done here I believe we could use your "skills" in other threads
