I am hearing the second half of September may be busy with some after hours activity. . . Assuming this will spill into October with a potential open on or before October 16. Interesting dates and to be honest, I was told not to put too much stock in them. . .

The kind of activities were I'd better be around ROL area at dusk, if I'm there on September 30 ? ;)

I do not think your timing is right. If you were to hide in a bathroom and come out after the park is closed and supposed to be empty, then you may have something to see. . .

Well, a girl can dream! ;) My trip end on October 8, so I could also cancel my HS night on October 7 (only to see Fantasmic since we would see Star wars on our first HS day) if there is rumors of soft opening in the following week?

I'd much prefer a definite no then this back and forth of hope-deception :(

Point made. I was confusing my King's Island and Animal Kingdom's again. . . Actually, I think even KI does a potty clean nightly. . .
Coincidentally I do have a friend who works at KI and I am 100% they do. I know Disney definitely has a crew come in 3rd shift to clean the bathrooms at all parks and Disney Springs. However I know at Typhoon last year, the contract with the cleaning crew they used ran up for awhile and they disagreed on some things and they actually made my roommate that worked at Typhoon to go in and do 3rd shift work AND stay for part of opening park hours.

So from what I understand, unlike Illuminations, nothing will be out on the water before the show begins correct? and everything will move out from backstage little by little during the show?

However I almost remember during one of the preview discussions they said the floating lanterns would be out first? So perhaps those will be out on the water before the show begins?
