Cast posting for transfers to Rivers of Light are being advertised internaly; aplications in by January 23rd.

Also maybe realted? I noticed that there is a AK block out for cast on Monday February 15th. That just seems like an odd/random date for a blockout.

Well the blackout date couldn't possibly be RoL related. We would have heard something by now, and they clearly have much more work to be done on the viewing area.

Photo update as of Thursday, Jan 14. As noted in an earlier post, there are several "windows" in the construction scrim open for viewing on the bridge between the Finding Nemo Theatre and Expedition Everest. More speaker and light poles have been installed in the seating and walkway areas.

@marni1971 might know this answer, How large of a budget did RoL have? and has it suffered any cuts?
There were comments a year or two ago that the budget was indeed mutilated. I believe they originally came from whylightbulb and WDW1974, but Martin also backed them up as well. It was said that it was originally supposed to be something of the scale and quality of World of Color, but was downgraded substantially since the budget cuts.

I heard that the budget had been cut so far that the show would be composed of a couple CMs with flashlights, laser pointers and super soakers. ;)

It must've had a huge budget since this show is still looking to be like WoC and aslo have Cirque-esque performers on top of that...

Is it at all possible that this show would be having (soft opening?) performances by March 25th? That's our last day for upcoming trip and many months ago we were hoping we'd catch this show. Looking like it's not likely now...

From my experience here, a lot of the insiders have more nuances view of "quality" because they know stuff in more intimate detail. I wouldn't be surprised if a lot of guests will enjoy a "pared down budget" RoL as much as WoL because they wouldn't even pick up on stuff that would be present in a "superior" version of RoL.

Sometimes it's probably better not to know What could have been.

I really want RoL to have the same Wow/immersive factor that WoC has, but in its own way since I know it Won't be WoC. I don't know if having that high hope and expectation is a big mistake lol.
