Is there pics or video out there of what the fire tower looks like when it's working 100%? I'm just trying to compare to when I saw it and if it was having issues that day or not.
Yesterday's first show: https://www.periscope.tv/w/a3b8pjgx...4WA27GeyRBWsGFv8yi969HwHv1L3hBFwCjzYgd3ZScTcp

Yesterday's second show:
https://www.periscope.tv/w/a3b7pjgx...HTrzuhH0Cry_nA0_iSB8dJ9w5qbGPwd-Sj6u8RBg9zxhp

The tower seemed to work much better on the second show when compared to the previous ones (even the cast previews, IMO), with fire popping up from every angle and looking very powerful.

The fire definitely seems a lot more choreographed to the music in that second showing from the one I saw.

Glad the opening night show went well.

Parades are quite expensive. Not sure how the costs stack up against a show like RoL. If anyone knows, I'd be interested. But I would guess that they're more expensive to run than these nighttime spectaculars and cetainly more expensive to run than projection shows like those at DHS and MK.

That is probably why Disney, which had parades at all four parks in the early 2000s, now only has them at MK. Decrease in parades, increase in projection shows. Must be less costly.

I can't speak to the cost of show vs parade, but less cast members are required to run these nighttime shows. How many performers are in ROL again???? Like 4 or 5 plus the tech crew? How many are in a parade??? Yep, just on staffing alone parades seem to be much more expensive. Plus they need way more cast members for crowd control along the parade routes vs a theater show.

I saw a comment from The Dis at the shows last night. On Twitter they claimed that some sort of fog effect was on for the 2nd show that drastically improved the lighting and mood over the water. Anyone else hear that?

I thought maybe it was smoke blown over from DHS? But that seems a bit far...

Why has alot of videos of the opening night of ROE ending up being blocked? I don't remember any other nighttime shows at WDW or any other Disney park getting this treatment. It's so odd, at first I thought it was only for soft opening videos from last week yet wasn't the problem when we gotten a preview of it last spring. Some of the videos recently uploaded even had to change the pitch of the audio.

OK...... For the second night in a row, the pedals on the main lotus did not open. Anyone know why? Don't tell me it broke already?!

This is such a joke of a show.

Who wants to take a bet this will be replaced with "whatever movie is being released by Disney light and sound spectacular" show withing six months?
