Just made last payment on vacation. Flights booked, plans finalized. Holding two evening spots open just in case RoL comes to life.
Not holding my breath. :\
I'm doing the exact same!

SW Fireworks are starting to get scheduled for Nov. I am there 3-9, and I know there are some scheduled for that first week for sure. Hoping to see Rivers of Light too, but not holding my breath. It will be a bonus if we see it. If not, probably spend more time and Food and Wine festival.100% ridiculous I was there in April for what was supposed to be "opening day" .... And now here I am ready for my next trip and there's still no word on it....and jungle book is ending... WHATS GOING ON DISNEY?!?! ... not to mention I'm already going crazy because there's no SW fireworks scheduled for November yet either. One more week of guessing and I might start loosing sleep over this LOL
Me too. I'm hoping for Monday, 10/31 or Tuesday, 11/1, but my confidence level is very low right now.

Make sure to do Kali at night. We now do it as the last thing before we leave this way if one of our party is the one soaked we're leaving anyway. But it looks awesome at night with all the popcorn lights in the misty fog and the burning forest with Everest lit up in the background!!
I feel like Rivers of Light is ready to go but Disney will wait for the right marketing opportunity to finally release it to the public. It truly makes me sad but I think I'm SOL on ROL. David Miller said timing isn't up to him, and to me that means we'll just all keep waiting

That has been permanently removed for safety. They did add a new burning effect into the large log above the ride path. There is still no fire before the drop though?
Disney doesn't need to wait for marketing opportunity, they can fabricate one whenever they need to.
I hope you are right. I just scheduled a trip for 10/29 - 11/2. I would LOVE if the show was running by then. I'm willing to guess that @prfctlyximprct would love this as well.
Then I'm not sure why they're stalling
Because they are not 100% sure it is ready yet would be my guess.
That's not how this works. That's not how any of this works. Then perhaps those dress rehearsals and showing with the suits did not go that well. If all did go well I'd think they would have been given the "go ahead".
That's not how this works. That's not how any of this works.
Thank you!! If you have any updates regarding this project in the future, please feel free to share. We just did our fast pass selections and would love to see the show in December. That's not how this works. That's not how any of this works.
An exec does not watch a new show and say, "it's great! Let's open tomorrow!"So then, how does this work?
My question is are we still on pace for previews in a few weeks and mid November grand opening? An exec does not watch a new show and say, "it's great! Let's open tomorrow!"
Patience you must have, my young padawan.
