Thing is, RoL opening sooner than September raises the question of what will happen to those who reserved dining packages up until September? I guess either they will switch over from Jungle Book to RoL, OR the more likely event is Jungle Book remains for the 9pm performance, along with its dining packages, and then RoL takes over the 10:30pm time slot Without dining packages until Jungle Book ends for the summer and the RoL opening craziness ends. Then in the Fall RoL opens up its dining packages?
They will literally switch it over to ROL it's a non issue. You honestly think with all these mandates for Parks on the cheap they are going to run ROL and the jungle book show in one park in one night? Short answer no. Once ROL is up jungle book is out, its literally being called an interim show.

I'm sure simply allowing existing packages to make the switch should be simple enough.

I honestly can't imagine anyone going "RoL? No, I paid for the Jungle Book!! I demand my money back, this is an outrage!".

3 seconds ago I just spoke to a DAK cast member. (((Apparently))) Rivers of Light is on indefinite hold, Iger saw it, didn't like it, and there's a chance Jungle Book could be permanent. Shanghai might help snuff it out. I know cast members get a lot of rumors and different information. So don't treat as fact, PLEASE. Just not the cheeriest lunch I've ever had in the parks...in all honesty, I can't find any of this credible.

Wow! I'm shocked that a CM would divulge something like that!

Does anyone know for a fact that they have been working on RoL 3rd shift? Maybe not last week or this week since their focusing on Jungle Book. Hopefully they are making progress, while getting it done right!

Shouldn't be doing it? CMs have been giving out info like that forever. Haven't you ever heard a bus driver story or something.

A Disney bus driver a city bus driver? First of all, that is not giving out information, that's spreading rumors. It sends out a negative message.Just because it's done by a percentage of CMs doesn't make it right . If I started doing something like that on my job I would at the very least be written up.

I think its mainly CMs just striking up conversation with someone on their long shift. They're allowed to do that. They get asked questions, they can choose to elaborate or not. Some stuff may be true some may be false, but I don't think anyone is at the wrong here.

The question, is this factual or just something going around between them? I don't agree that CMs should be passing on this kind of information regardless. I never had a job where I could pass on any supposed information like this to a customer or client. It's one thing for a blogger, it's another for an employee. This means a CM could say anything negative about their employer to a guest. There's a fine line between information that's useful and something's that is negative and quite possibly a rumor.

That may well be, but it doesn't change the fact that a CM shouldn't be doing it.

Most people will agree that they should be passing out incorrect information, that doesn't change the fact that this happens a lot. Getting inaccurate information from a CM is sort of a running joke around here. When it comes to things being worked on at the parks, people on these boards tend to be better informed then most front line CMs.

Thanks. Again I repeat, there's a fine line between information that's useful and something's that is negative and quite possibly just rumor.

Written up for giving wrong information? If that's the case I'm thinking a lot of CMs should be written up. In 2012 a Disney bus driver told me a marvel land was going to be built at DHS. Should he be written up? Information with Disney changes all of the time too, what a CM says one day could be correct but the next day it could be wrong because things change.

That's different. Spreading information about your boss is another thing and sends a negative message. Saying Iger hated ROL so it was scrapped is not the same as speculating about an attraction.
