Rumor New nighttime show at Epcot

Not a bad show for DVC!



Woldn't mind an Epcot tribute in the new show or the interim one! The music of the 25th, 30th, 35th, tags really grew on me!

Is HEA a Steve Davison Project or a different team behind the show?

If it was Steve’s show HEA would likely have fountains and be more like Disney Dreams and or Ignite from Shanghai. Unfortunately it’s not.

There's nothing unfortunate about it, Steve is overrated and frankly his shows are utterly forgetable. I'm so glad he wasn't allowed to ruin HEA and I hope he's banned from coming anywhere near future wdw nighttime spectacular. If the team that created HEA is working on this new show, we have nothing to fear. They'll top themselves and Epcot will once again rein supreme with their nighttime show

I don't agree with everything in there but I also find Davison to be over-rated and a bit of a one-trick-pony. He would be a completely inappropriate choice for the next two IllumiNations shows.

Correct me if I am wrong but didn't Davidson do ROE??? That was beyond a grand slam1 Granted IDK who should do the interim show If there is one, but the real replacement I would hope surpasses ROE!

Who does the tags and Moonlight Magic? Epcot themselves or outside help?

He did the RoE show but the firework design was Eric Tucker.

It’s my understanding that Davison oversaw the “choreography” of RoE’s practical effects, but Don Dorsey is responsible for the vision and direction of the show.

Our insiders say a new interim fireworks show is coming, maybe even before the year's out. That's what all that infrastructure is for. Then a new Illuminations proper will happen for MK's 50 or Epcot's 40.

Since the last time Epcot did a parade there has been the multiplication of booths and kiosks making a parade less and less likely.

There was a permit for a bunch of sites all round WS for light construction... there's wasn't any more details. But it sure had that new show smell.

It would be interesting if they incorporate the countries into the show more, like they do for NYE. Fireworks from behind each pavilion.

Steve Davison's projects all have a tendency to end up looking the same, IMO

While I like his work, this is very true, lol.
