New MuppetVision Posters up in Extended Que

So they are updating ("cleaning up") the film? I hope they really push some of the older 3D effects, especially the ones that never really worked that I really want to work every time I see the show.

They set up a few gags in the beginning, like the ironing board that falls down, as if they are supposed to be "cheap 3D tricks" that pop out at the crowd. But many of those things aren't really in 3D, and that always confused me. Did they forget to "push" the 3D on those elements? The same goes for Sweetums's paddle ball. Again, a great gag, but it would be even better if the 3D effect actually worked!

I agree with many of the posters in this thread. Muppetvision is the best of all the 3D shows on property, and I don't see any need to change the film itself. But a few fixes here and there could really help make it seem fresh again.

I feel like some people on these boards need a lesson about "fighting the right battle." Posters? I'm not going to get upset about posters. Are they great? No. Are they important? Not really. I guess I'm too busy being excited that they will be remastering the film (saw it today, it IS in shabby condition!) rather than just closing the attraction. Mountains and Molehills, people.

I haven't seen anyone post them as of yet...except for myself..But, They have now added new Movie Posters on the Extended Que Line of Muppet*Vision 3D..They look great and it's nice to see a return of The Muppets!!:sohappy:

Thank you for posting these! I will have to go look for them the next time I'm at the Studios. :)

Saw the movie last week, and upon leaving I commented to my wife on how bad the film was looking and it would be nice to see them remaster it. So the best thing here is that they are doing just that.

Seriously, as for the posters, did anybody expect different? The Muppets have been a shell of their former selves ever since Henson passed away. He was the heart and the only person who REALLY understood every aspect of them. When he left, so did what made them so great. You have to look at things like this as nothing more than ways to keep them current and accessible to current and future generations. Keep the interest alive so that the classic aspects will survive. If you don't get kids today interested in The Muppets, then people will stop going to see the attraction. If you can catch the eye of a 6 year old girl by doing a Hannah Montana spoof, no matter how poorly done, then by all means go for it. I personally don't like the posters, but I think my kids would, so I am cool with that. I'm a Muppet fan from when I was a kid, so whatever else it takes to keep them alive with kids is cool with me.

See? Even using the horrid stuff they made, I was at least able to TRY and pay tribute to the original Muppet Vision by, I don't know, attempting the humor this attraction is known for.

Seriously, these are weaker than most Photoshop Phridays I've seen. The best part about the old posters (And why they were made so big) is that they were PACKED with Muppet Humor.

To the arguement: "Well posters aren't made like that anymore"

Answer: Go compare the old ones. Guess what? THEY BARELY resemble the films' in question posters.

THEY MADE THE PARODIES ORGINAL.

I'm still in shock that anyone would find these faux-attempts at funny even anywhere near the orginals.

Looking through my pictures of them, even I who had taken the pictures, found several jokes I had never noticed before.
 :sohappy:

But these?

You guys REALLY love these?

Sigh. Looks like I'm the one who has to carry that weight.

"Carry that Weight" means I'm the only one who's going to be unhappy with it for the rest of forever.

Seriously, tell me with a straight face that "Disney Digital 3-D" is just as funny as "Filmed in 3-D: The Apartment not the effect"

The Discrepancy is that the new ones blow rainbow colored Meh Chunks, whereas the old ones were actually good.

This is good stuff, seriously. It really retains the sense of humor of the older ones. Look, I get that people are 'just fine' with these new posters, but how can anyone think that these new posters are inspired or creative?

"Hey, let's replace the word Musical with Mayhem and photoshop in the characters!" Requires less that a minute of thought, and less than a half hour of photoshop work.

You don't see it because it's not there. The lack of sarcasm, wit, or even really cheesy jokes.

Ok, so a poster of the Electric Mayhem photoshopped in front of a red curtain.
