New Monsters Inc. show at Studios

Keep Moving Forward
I wonder if the dancers are the Monsters U cheerleaders like they added to the parade a DCA. They have the neatest Pom poms. They are actually hand puppets and they open up to reveal they are monsters. I thought that was fun.

Drew I think you got everybody's hopes up with that title. haha I guess "show" does have a broad definition at Disney these days. This isn't something I would be into, but it does add some fun to the park for the kids and the kids at heart. Filed under: better than nothing.

Now confirmed. Once again, drew81 scoops everyone.

Attend a Monsters University Homecoming

Starting June 14, 2013

Make way for a Monsters University Homecoming celebration! The MU School of Scaring is hosting a campus bash inspired by Disney•Pixar's Monsters University and it all goes down each evening at Disney's Hollywood Studios. Hit the quad where you can hear your DJ—"Monster of Scaremonies"—spinning the latest beats, and take part in a series of fun activities. Then, get pepped up as the MU cheerleaders pop in to lead the MU Fight Song before those monsters of rock, Scare Supply, take the stage. Enjoy a medley of monstrous mash-ups, and laugh along as they're joined on stage by Mike and Sulley. It's a pep rally of epic proportions, and it's all part of Limited Time Magic!

It does sound like a poor man's Mad T Party, though the show could be good if the band is. From a corporate perspective, I can't imagine this isn't being paid for by the studio to promote the film. There's no real upside from the TDO perspective except as a LTM placeholder. If they really wanted to replicate the success of T, they'd have liquor sales and a more adult theme, and not in front of the Hat.

The more I think about it, the dumber TDO is for not replicating T already. Streets of America would be an easy place to shove a big nighttime street party. I don't think T itself would go over well at WDW - the character representations are bit risque for the midwest sensibility - I can just see the mommy blogger complaints about Alice now!

WDW, pandering to the lowest common denominator since 1996.

Why is DHS so persistent in having that horrible temporary stage almost year round now?! It's just an eyesore. Too bad they couldn't of just redressed the DCR float/stage and use that instead. That was the great thing about DCR, it rolled out, performed, then disappeared...or atleast it did when the ugly stage wasn't set up.

I'm sorry but dabigcheeze was getting Hell for pointing out dance parties are horribly cheap & lazy which is 100% true..

I'd much rather they kept ElecTRONica instead of letting a Hot Topic vomit all over the Backlot area.

WDW is not near the Midwest. I wish it was. And the visitors are much more east coast than Midwest.
