But I bet you about Pleasure Island closing, don't you? Yeah...
Obviously you don't understand I was comparing the CHEAP Dance parties to well produced shows of the past like Hunchback and Beauty and the Beast. Throw a DJ out there and a character o 2 and Woohoo...Cheap entertainment for the sheeple!
You're right. I must be too stupid, like the rest of the sheeple.

Good talk, friend.

You are literally the worst kind of poster there is. If you don't like it, fine. But you feel so superior that you need to put down people that do? Time to take a look in the mirror, mr. cool.
Ouch that really hurts! :D
I am just stating my opinion of what WDW entertainment has become. I do not feel superior to anyone, I just know that over the last few years the value of the product put out by disney has been cheapened in many ways. I just dont snort the pixie dust.
Oh and I guess that makes me the worst kind of poster too, right?

It's the "sheeple" comment that es people off. It's like if I logged on to a Universal Studios site and posted "everyone who likes WWoHP is a giant toolbag."

Good for you for not "snorting the pixie dust." It's nuts how many people have the absolute NERVE to be Disney fans on this DISNEY FAN SITE.

Actually... I wasn't into Pleasure Island all that much. However I did enjoy the Comedy Warehouse/Club there. Hey you drew your own conclusion there, not me.

Okay, I happen to like the dance party. I like the loud music, I like sitting there and listening/watching some dancing. It's fun. I would not want them to get rid of it. One in Tomorrowland is plenty, though.

Because people have come to accept this lower value of entertainment that WDW has been forcing down our throats for quite a few years now.
Forcing it down our throats?

Dude, don't come. Seriously. If it's that unpleasant to you, stay home. I'm sure you'll have a wonderful staycation at Six Flax Great Adventure. I hear Kingda Ka is swell, and it doesn't even have a dance party.

Tell me again how it's for sheeple...

Here we go.... guy makes a comment and now he hates kids. So you know, I am a father of 3 and sure my kids have participated in a EMH Dance party probably 8 years ago at AK. I get that the kiddos enjoy it. My point is more to the fact that...seems all WDW can put out there for entertainment these days is some type of Dance Party. Would love to see a New quality show or even better a ride...Disney used to be better than that.

I don't mind the dance parties. I did dislike that terrible show at HS with mid to late 20s people pretending they were teenagers...but, my kid loved it. So, even though that show is now gone, I will miss her enjoying it, even though I didn't.

With respect to stage shows / dance parties at Disney, really I don't think anything could top Last Tour to Endor...

That night was epic.

No, no, that wasn't the point of my comment. Don't take offense. I'm not attacking your overall point. See my later comment.

Trust me over the last few years WDW hasn't seen 1/10 of what I used to spend. Just is not worth the $$$ these days. Hopefully in a few years may be worth it, if they actually do some improvements. Oh and not everyone at the Jersey shore goes to Six Flags...but nice try.

all WDW can put out there for entertainment these days is some type of Dance Party.
Enchanted Tales with Belle - Not terribly exciting, but a unique and brand-new experience.
Royal Majesty Makers - Free-roaming, themed atmosphere entertainment.
New Dumbo Queue - A unique way for kids to pass the time without "waiting in line"
Be Our Guest Restaurant - New concept of "flex dining" in an immaculately themed building
Under the Sea - Ordinary attraction but a fantastic queue
Gaston's Tavern - Great theming and unique menu items

None of these are dance parties. In fact they're all part of ONE project that has been almost universally maligned in this forum. Don't say they're not doing something when they clearly are and you're still not satisfied.

If the show will be half as good as the one in this thread I'll be perfectly happy!

Oh god, I'm gonna get flamed for this, but I remember being a kid going to Disney (and that's why I love Disney), but a lot of the rides at the time to me with my kid brain were BORING!

I hated going on Dreamflight, outside of the few comic scenes and the "ride into a jet engine" effect they did with lights, and that's just an example...I also hates Small World, though now it's one of my favorite rides. I'm sure if I dug through my mental jumble of memories, especially as I turned into a moody teen, I could find more boring examples.

The point is, years later I miss those rides and attractions that are no longer there, I do appreciate things like this show which excite my kid (note where she's dancing...it was after Carousel of Progress, which, when I was her age I probably yawned through as well, but I adore it now)...and help keep up the mood of the trip.

Walt had some weird idea about a place where both kids AND parents could enjoy their time visiting...(and no, I'm not invoking that to "win" an internet discussion, just pointing it out)...
