Now I’m deff gonna look when I’m at Mk next

Edit2: saw the backup cam, mounted super high up. And noticed when the monorail was creeping in the pilot was tapping something on the screen on each creep up. Still super misaligned with the gates tho.

Bright side monorail orange looks like it got new paint
Blue, Orange, Yellow, Gold, and Red. Black in the shop now getting the paint job.

Those new monorails can't come soon enough: I could not take the monorails on Saturday to MK because something must have happened. Certainly not anything surprising.

I was on that monorail. It was limping from station to station before it lost power totally am the MK. They said It was weather related that caused a loss of power. It had been raining crazy that day and I’m speculatuing one of conductor shoes was affected. It was running the next day and today.

This is the new normal now. Ever since Monorail Red Doors went open while in motion. Every time since then You hear the normal auto spiel, plus the monorail pilot come over the PA and says Please do not lean against doors. I have experienced this every single time without fail. Also a few times when I have been with stroller, the CM's have made me park them diagonally instead of the usual straight in. I don't think this is the new norm on the strollers though cause some times I was not instructed to do this.

They have to get Tom Kane to record it.... It takes away from the experience.... If they got him for Copper Creek, there's no reason he can't for a new door warning...

That's the thing. He's been saying it for years, just guests never listen. It's the reason guests can get to the top of the express monorail ramp and have to ask the cm where the train goes.

They should have station announcements like the new APMs at MCO or the MK Railroad... A train passes a trigger point on the track, announcement plays that an "express monorail to Magic Kingdom car and bus parking is now arriving..."

Also, as for repeating to stand clear from the automatic doors maybe they can do something like this....

"Welcome aboard the Walt Disney World Express Monorail—your highway in the sky to the Magic Kingdom. For those of you standing, please hold on to the handrails throughout our journey, and stay clear of the doors. For the comfort of others, no smoking, please. Once again we ask you to remain clear of the automatic doors during our journey to the Magic Kingdom. Thank you!"

I just feel like the pilot talking seems to take away from the experience.... The narration is one of the signature facets of the monorail...

I had an enjoyable ride on the resort monorail last week, no announcements, everything ran smoothly, oh except one whole cab had a note taped to it "out of service" lol Edit: by the way are the window vents supposed to be open or closed? It was raining, but they were left open.

Pretty soon the spiel will be something like this.

Please stand clear of the doors! Please do not lean on the doors! Please stay away from the doors! Just don't do anything with the doors... okay!!

In my experience, they just kinda flop open and closed throughout my journey. LOL Though at the stations they start out closed.
