Rumor New Monorails Coming Soon?

I'm hearing scuttlebutt that they will unveil a new uber-like Minnie Boat option soon, allowing them to do a full monorail replacement.

They’re about to have a few extra buses to help offset the loss of the system temporarily...

My guess is if it’s this major, it doesn’t happen until after the Skyliner opens.

Trains definitely won’t be built before that.

I wouldn’t say the timeline has moved up just that this might actually seriously happen. Nothing is official at this point but It’s close. I’ll also say right now don’t expect all new trains by the 50th.

While I don’t know specifics yet I can’t see this not being custom. The WDW system isn’t exactly an off the shelf system.

Negatory, Disney doesn’t like its vendors to publicly associate themselves with their work for the company. If this happens, it will be announced on Disney’s terms, not the vendor’s.

I have no idea when Disney plans to say anything. They likely will wait until everything is finalized and actually being built.
