New Mickey and Minnie heads - how we feeling?

Glad to see it's happening....But, they got a waaays to go considering how many places Mickey is in WDW...
Don't forget Minnie Mouse. I've grown more fond of Minnie's new dress since they toned down the polka dots and made her dress and bow more redder and makes the old one look faded in comparison.

It's characteristic of Disney to test new technologies in lower echelon areas (such as Disneyland, DCA, DHS and AK) before they introduce them to "prime time" in the Magic Kingdom at WDW.
This reminds me of how 1978 look for Mickey and Minnie were still in use during 1987 and 1988 but the current heads (Soon to be dubbed the 1988 heads) were slowly showing up at shows and parades (MSEP being an early example) and during one of the anniversary specials they showed the 1978 heads but switched to the then new look.

TDL was a good example of that. Granted TDL just opened in 1983, but I don't think they went full time with the 1988/current(for them) heads until 1993/10th Anniversary! Christmas 1992 did have them in the castle show and parade., but I don't know if Party Gras got them before the 10th. Adventureland Revue got them right before the 10th I'm guessing. I think TDEP got them in 1989!

Any word on FOF from today?

This makes me SO happy!!! However, I have a small gripe and I hate to complain about it but I HAAAAAAATE when Mickey closes his mouth for pictures. It looks ten times better now with this face but I still think the mouth should always open for pictures.

One thing I feel like should note is that when the original talking Mickey opened his mouth as seen here, it looked a bit unnatural. Thankfully, the new head looks much more natural in motion since it's facial structure was probably designed with the mechanics in mind.

And looked more in model to his original cartoon design.
