New Mickey and Minnie heads - how we feeling?

This is why I'll be getting a bunch of the old classic cartoons for my unborn baby to watch when she is older. I know I can't stop her from watching the newer stuff but the cartoons they churn out now are just terrible. They're nothing like the originals, which in a sense shows they are moving with the times but they change them completely.
I don't know if you guys get these in america, but to name a few over in the UK: Noddy used to be stop motion. He's now computer generated, Bob the Builder also used to be stop motion but they redesigned him and made him into a new character and he's also computer animated, erm.. there's a bunch more that escape me but everything is computer generated now a days and it sucks that they've lost the charm of proper animated films. Especially when they are done super cheap (not like the Disney movies of today. They're ok!).

Back on topic, I love the new outfits and I'm sure the heads will grow on us all. They do look more cartoony and friendlier, but the others have been around for a very long time so I get why people don't want them to change. Love Minnies new dress and shoes.

Because the new Mickey Mouse cartoons are just a simple knockoff of early Cartoon Network Cartoons and what a surprise it was directed and created by a Cartoon Network creator Paul Rudish who worked on 2 Stupid Dogs, Dexter's Laboratory, The Powerpuff Girls, Samurai Jack to name a few..

Schnookums and Meat was created by Bill Kopp who was Co-Producer and Voice of Eek The Cat...

Again, amen to that. The Disney DNA is minimal in those shorts and this explains why. I don't watch the Disney Channel much at all, but it seems to me that most of its cartoons are bit like what Cartoon Network was when I was growing up. And while that's certainly better than teeny bopper Discoms, it just goes to show that the channel has no identity of its own.

I'm sorry but Minnie needs the lipstick and eye shadow. If not for her eyelashes I couldn't tell a single difference between her and Mickey.

The new heads are a vast improvement. There are subtle differences between Mickey and Minnie, which make them each distinct IMO. I'm glad Minnie lost the lipstick and blue eyeshadow (way to 1980s IMO).

Just curious if anybody here has any insight as to why Disney has been redesigning so many characters lately. I find it interesting that they are doing so many at the same time.

For Mickey and Minnie, it was the opening of SDL. For the Princesses, it was marketing. The Beast was one of the least liked costumes in use, so it was time for an upgrade.

They look perfect. These costumes emphasize the shape I mentioned earlier in the thread.

I hope they reconfigure the round shape onto Mickey when they revert back to their normal attire after the holidays, their seasonal costumes look amazing with the new heads! We need a Goofy, Pluto, and Chip & Dale facelift now
