New Meet Month

Please pick your month of choice. Once we get the month, we will narrow it down to the week/weekend.

Please give a reason why you would like to have the meet in the specific month that you picked. Also, if there is something special going on that month, please mention it.

I voted SEPT as well... July in FL is just too damned hot and humid and packed with sweaty bodies... :lol:

Plus.. everything is a Walk on pretty much in SEPT :wave:

I'll make my body sweaty just for you if it's in September so it will be like July.

I think I will go with July for this one also. Several friends I know have expressed interest in going at that time, kids are out of school, etc. I cant wait for the next meet!!! Belle

We usually drive down (YES, from New Jersey) on the 4th and stay for around 4 to 7 days. The later in the summer, the more band rehearsals we need to be at....

Let's see what happens, I know that time is busy, but that's our best ........

Hey there all, While I agree with TLB that the actual poll doesnt have a closing date, we are going to be picking a month probably by the middle of February,VERY beginning of March at latest. It could actually be sooner assuming that we hear from everyone who has shown interest in the Meet by then! I think we should pick a date as soon as possible for anumber of reasons. Some are people need to make plans and take time off work, save the money for the trip, purchase airfare, book rooms or other lodging accomodations, etc. Remember you dont need to be staying on the property to be attending the Meet. The only requirement is that you are a Forum Member and if it is a pay event, such as the dessert party last time, that you have sent your money in and recieved confirmation of payment! Also this is your Meet!! Friends and family are certainly invited and I encourage them to come. Some of the people who attending the last meet were very pleasantly surprised to see such a fabulous group of people at the Dessert Party! Let the voting continue!! Belle

Hi Everyone!!! Do we have any more interest in this? Also another quick question for everyone. If we pick a month, say July as right now it is the front runner, could you/would you switch your vacation plans to coincide with the Meet?? Belle

I think a lot of us are pretty much locked into certain months. I teach school, so the only two months I can be at all flexible about traveling are July and August. I would probably be able to make my arrangements around whatever date is chosen in July or August, if either of those finally prove to be the winner, but most other times would, unfortunately, be out for me.

That said, I sure hope that we have enough interest here to actually go for a date and time, and hope for the best! I was sorry to have been unable to attend the December meet - sounds like it was a good time.

Vacation for us is the last 2 weeks in July. We can move our days around within that time frame, but have to be back in NY on the 31st for a family wedding. :wave:
