New Magic Band boxes disappointing.

Maybe someone can be of assistance on this thread.
In the past our magic bands came in a classy decorative box or container. They are a part of our collection of Disney mementos and keepsakes.

We received this year's magic bands for our trip June 10th thru 21st. Unfortunately they came in a disappointing plain white tuck and fold box. Definitely not a keepsake and certainly not up to the classy Disney operation I have come to expect.

Does anyone know if there is a place a box similar to the ones they used to provide could be found or purchased.

I think they used a different adhesive on my Magical Express luggage tags than they did last time. I'm thinking of writing a letter to Christine McCarthy to berate her for the cost cuts.

And there's another thing I wish I could get from Disney too. ;)

Hey! Maybe when the UK leaves the EU, we could negotiate a customs deal with Disney so they can start sending us stuff?

I'm a real live and let live sort of person...so If you hated or didn't care for the box that's great.

I however did like both the shipping box...which I reused for storage of knick-knacks or even for mailing something else and the nice box the Magic Bands came in I saved with the Magic Bands. If you stack them a particular way they make a complete image of Mrs. Incredible all over the boxes. So they are on a shelf like that in my Disney Room. (again...live and let live as to your personal decision to have or not have a Disney Room!)

I save the new ones too, and they are very nice on the inside with a great image of Cinderella Castle.

:)

Who throws a Disney Magicband box away? Mine are proudly stacked up in our Disney room. The last we got were cheesy, I still kept them though, although not stacked with the cool boxes.

lol, I do. mine don't make it past arrival day. I've got enough junk without adding shipping boxes to the mix. Would you mine post pictures of your "disney room". never heard of one and I'm dying with noisiness.

lol I actually wish they stopped sending me new magic bands each trip. I've got 2 trips on board this year, what do I need with all these old plastic junk that I'll never wear again.

I think some people brought the box with them on vacation because it was easy to keep track of the bands and leave the box in the hotel room when they left. Disney ended up with a lot of trash

Well, I do bring the boxes. I have an old Incredibles box and one Passholder box. At the resort, I remove all MBs and put the ones I don't use in the safe. The boxes are great for transporting them.

In a "paperless society" I find I get more paperwork than ever before to either file, toss/shred or scan and toss/shred.

I appreciate the reduction in cardboard and obvious manufacturing requirements these newer boxes use but do miss the old as they came in handy to for around the house. The current ones however are not without use, just found they make a perfectly sized staging container for all those snail mail bits and printouts that need to be delt with. Not bad to have the top of the castle peeking out from behind the tasks either.

I think somewhere on my computer I have old pics of what it looked like before my we put some of my grandson’s many toys, such as a ball pit in here lol. I used to have all of my Disney stuff in our game room downstairs but when my kids moved out and I suddenly had 4 extra bedrooms instead of two, I decided to bring it up here. Mostly to make it different because I would walk in the rooms and cry. It is just junk, really, but it is my “junk” and it makes me smile. The grandbaby loves it too. I have subtle Disney touches here and there through the house, but this my Goofy, Laughing Place room. :)
Here are a few pics-

We booked 3 resorts for our upcoming trip and we got 3 separate boxes...seems a waste of boxes and now I have 15 magic bands....crazy.
We do split stays often times, and just decline the magic bands for the 2nd hotel. We also go into account and deactivate old magic bands. I have heard of people having problems with park entry when they have too many active bands on their account.
