New Magic Band boxes disappointing.

Maybe someone can be of assistance on this thread.
In the past our magic bands came in a classy decorative box or container. They are a part of our collection of Disney mementos and keepsakes.

We received this year's magic bands for our trip June 10th thru 21st. Unfortunately they came in a disappointing plain white tuck and fold box. Definitely not a keepsake and certainly not up to the classy Disney operation I have come to expect.

Does anyone know if there is a place a box similar to the ones they used to provide could be found or purchased.

To everyone who saves the boxes and is disappointed that the boxes are boring, did you not know that you can turn the box inside out? All it takes is a bitter knife and some patience.

This way, Disney saves on packaging and you still get a cute box. I use it to save small moments from the trip.

I often wonder why they don't offer this for UK guests surely theres enough of us that travel each year to stock these in the UK would be a really nice start to the holiday
From what I understand, the issue is with getting Government regulators approval for the radio transmitter that’s built in. Because each country has different rules/requirements for emitters, Disney would have to pay to have MBs approved for delivery in each country.

But how do travelers bringing MBs back to EU countries skirt the same issue? Are they now guilty of bringing unlicensed transmitters home with them?

Not Disney’s problem. Shipping radio transmitters is illegal without regulatory approval. Technically, carrying a radio from another country is probably not going to raise flags, but even if it did, enforcement would be more trouble than it would be worth.

Example: walkie-talkies that aren’t FCC approved are illegal to use in the USA. Similarly, US walkie-talkies are illegal in the EU:
