Also I was thinking about the promanade:

If we have it go 360 around the hyperion we would have to close off parts druing the show, mainly for saftey of the preformers, so that noone could throw stuff at them as they are being lowered or at the crowd.....

Or have it only go part way around but have it appear to go all the way around like have the walk way there but have like walss built to look like piles of lugage blocking it off, that way you could also actually use then the part of the promanade that faces the audince part of the stage with out the incovience of clearing out guests and closing the area off each time before a show....


Either way coudl work, I am rather impatartial, you are the one making the show, so it is up to you what do you think would work best for the show?

Yes, Disney characters, but not all of them, like we sing "Be Our Guest" but there is no Lumiere. I don't like his costume, he looks way too big and ugly, so we are going to use a chorus, with a lead singer guy. I'm not to sure. Maybe a giant candlestick could rise from the stage with threee women as flames? I dunno. and I have some other great ideas too. This show sounds great. So far here is a list of the numbers I have planned and in what order.

The show sounds, good just keep in mind the 1920's theme and an air ship will have a little bit of a different feel even if they are traveling over the ocean, I thought you mentioned sailors in the opening, well you can keep them but make theri costume something new, maybe a corss between air-piotls of the era and a sailor suit...

Ummmm, well I guess while you are working on finfishing up the show (which is not pined on you ) I'll start laying out one of the rides, maybe the Great Contraption since I already started the mechanics of it, I'll try to post some ideas for the show rooms and a script, this should really be not too bad it is going to be a fiarly shortly scripted ride, lets see I think there are like 36 show rooms so any ideas about what task would be going on would be much appreciated, I will try to come up with as many as I can but it will probably fall short.

Just a refresher the idea is that the Great Contraption can help you do a days tasks or jobs in a short period of time, of course then the machine goes a little berserk and the rest is a wild ride.

Here are the first three show room towers

It is layed out as if you opened each half of hte hexagon structure, in other words this the first half

The names of the rooms are kinda bad but it is just for description purposes, the guests will not see these names in any way. The three service rooms are your ideas,WierdOne, these would be places where guests would rent specifc types of robots to take care of their homely needs, the other rooms say machine but picutre these are more as elaborate contraptions to take the place of a bakery, a butcher shop, a bank, ect.


I'll try to have the other half up soon, help with ideas for the rooms would be much apreaciated.

Queue Area Description& Script:

The initial entrance is a small lobby behind a desk with would be a robot answering old style telephones. Guests would then proceed down a series of hallways passing by animatronics show rooms of laboratories of scientists experimenting with different gizmos( a few working better than others, several scenes would be comically disastrous) For example one room would be marked Food Preparation Laboratory, and through guest viewing windows guests would see scientist working on a variety of robotics and machinery to help around the kitchen, guests would pass by several rooms like this. Then finally guests would come to a small rotunda where they would be separated off into groups of 32 and split off to 9 different pre-show rooms. Here much like test track guests would be prepped however here a robot animatronics would tell welcome them to the ________ Company Headquarters (I want to name the company after that type of machine that is really complex to do a simple task but I can’t think of the name right now, can anyone one else) The robot would tell them that they are “here to test out the greatest mechanical marvel, that will revolutionize the way we live our lives, behold the Great Contraption” At this point a partition drops to display a model of the actual attraction. Then the robot would explain how the “Contraption will whiz and twirl guests to different stations where guests will be able to complete a common task in remarkable time, thanks to _____’s remarkable mechanical breakthroughs” “Thanks to the Great Contraption people will now be able to do a whole days worth of errands in under 30 mins, so now when the doors open follow the _______ attendant to your loading station where you will load the attraction” Also there would be the usual spiel, ”for your safety there is no eating drink, smoking flash photography while the Great Contraption is in motion for it might interfere with the machinery” Once the doors on the other side of the room open a CM would guide guests to their stations where they would load, once loaded. Once loaded there would be a short spiel from the president of the company thanking the guests for taking the first test run and hoping that they enjoy their experience and that it is extra productive” Then the ride starts and there is a voice telling the varying speeds then “error, error, ride over load malfunction” just as the ride reaches it’s peak speed which it will have throughout the ride. Then after the ride the president would come on and apologize for the contraption malfunctioning they just have a few kinks to work out but “hey they sure mad good time*nervous laugh*” and then guests would exit.

One thing to note I am changing the ride capacity per car from 16 guests to 8 guests with 4 pairs of 2 on 2 tiers. Otherwise the load and unload times seem impractical

Great, this sounds amazing, but it would be much cheaper to see these scenes in the queue using movies on doors, like shadows or blurred images. So much less inexpensive. Otherwise, I like it. How about Perpetual Motion Corp.? - The WeirdOne

Great I love the idea of the shadows, that would be better budget wise but also it would add more mystery and supense up to the ride, great idea!!

Perpetual Motion Corp. also sounds great, it was not was I was trying to think of but it works great too and I like it alot

I thought shadows was a great idea because we used stuff like that around Halloween. I'm trying to get the last kinks, etc, out of the show infront of the Hyperion. Hey no prob, I can understand being busy and I appreaciate whatever work you are doing.

I really do like the name Perpetuail Motion Corp. I thought you would have gotten that sediment from "it works great too and I like it alot",lol, it wasn't was I was orginally thinking of but I really do like it and I hope we go with it, I even used it in the scrpit.

Speaking of which, here is the majority of the script, this is from the pre-show on to the ride, I will post breif discrptions of the "shadow windows" later

GV-S Pre-show prep:

Guests enter a fairly dimly lit room that looks like a corporate press room. At the front is a podium and a large cube on a table next to it. Once the guests are loaded in the Robot raises from behind the podium, the robot looks like the robot butler from horizons.

“Hello and welcome to Perpetual Motion Corp. I am GV-S model the Chief Guest Relations officer, I am programmed to meet your every need while you are here touring the Perpetual Motion Corp facilities. Here at Perpetual Motion Corp. we believe that the secret to a happy life is a productive life, and we strive to meet your daily needs with gadgets and gizmos to allow you to do you tasks in a fraction of the time. We have invited you all here to test out the greatest mechanical marvel, that will revolutionize the way we live our lives, behold the Great Contraption” Here GV-S would press a button and the sides of the metal box would unfold showing a scale model of the actual attraction which would beginning to spin at the “intended” speeds
“Contraption will whiz and twirl yous to different stations where you will be able to complete a common task in remarkable time, thanks to Perpetual Motion Corp’s remarkable mechanical breakthroughs “Because of the Great Contraption people will now be able to do a whole days worth of errands in under 30 mins, so now when the doors open follow the Perpetual Motion Corp attendant to your loading station where you will load the attraction Also please remember for your safety there is no eating, drinking, smoking, or flash photography while the Great Contraption is in motion for it might interfere with the machinery. Please enjoy your day here touring our facilities and I hope you have a productive time on the Great Contraption, thank you for your attention and good bye.

The guests are loaded then the voice of the president comes over the load speaker:
Greetings welcome to my company, I am Thomas Alva Coggswork President of Perpetual Motion Corp. Here you lucky people will be the first to experience the extra productivity of the Great Contraption, please enjoy your test run and I hope your time is extra efficient. The ride then starts.

Then a Robotic voice comes over the loud speaker:

Motion Speed: 10 rpm, 20 rpm, 30 rpm, 40 rpm error, error, mechanical malfunction system failure

The ride hits it’s final speed(the ones read are not the real ones, it is just for effect)

Then after the ride slows down the presidents voice would come over again:

Sorry, folks, I sincerely apologize for the malfunctioning of the Great Contraption it would appear that we have a few kinks to work out but hey you sure made good time*nervous laugh*, thank you for your patience and please enjoy the rest of your time here at Perpetual Motion Corp.

Well there you go, If you have any better names for the CEO I would love to hear it, I was think to use Edison's first and middle name since he was a constant inventor but then use something that sounds comically mechanical like Coggswork, but anyways I know it is not the greatest so I am open to suggestions....

After some inactivity from everyone, I'm getting the board up a bit. Here's some new ideas I've created for our show. I have sketches that will be up later today or tomorrow ready for some of the numbers.

1. Opening Number - "This is the Place"

Instead of using "R.M.S Hyperion", I was considering using "Discovery Bay" for a more general song. "Discovery Bay" is the place, not the "R.M.S. Hyperion". What do you think? This would be an avant-gaurd type number, where the lead singer would rise revealing tapestries under her with a giant panorama of Discovery Bay and would then spread out revealing the whole Discovery Bay area. The pictures should explain it when I post them.

2. Finale Number - "Finale?"

Anyways, there will be a tap dance number before this. That will end and Minnie will climb up the stairs to a giant champagne bottle. Two other ones will be on the sides of the stage. She will give a small speech about the "R.M.S. Hyperion" and how this is the maiden voyage and then she will say, time to let the ship sail! 5...4...3...2...1...and the two side champagne bottles will explode with pyro and the middle one with Minnie will explode confettin onto the stage and a bit into the front rows. Then another Chaser number will occur before the lifeboat is pulled back up with Minnie and Mickey and everyone disappears away and the stage returns to normal pretty much.

3. Intermediate Number - "?"

I want there to be a song and all of a sudden you would hear a noise of a car with screeching brakes and Donald would rush out onto the stage.

Donald - "Tennis anyone?..."

Crowd - "Tennis?!...*murmuring among crowd*..."

Lead Guy - "Hey, I got it! *singing*

When Donald takes the center court,
his form is full of grace.
Why even Andre Agassi by Donald has been aced!
His backhand has the power of a steam train on a chase.
He lobs the ball.
The crowds in awe..."

Crowd - "...*TAKES A BIG BREATH*..."

Lead Guy - "...till he falls on his face!"

Then the original song will continue on before with Donald finally being on stage. So, now tell me what you think...I'll post renderings ASAP. - The WeirdOne
