People don't normally read my posts, but I have noticed a few things lately and it is really starting to bother me on our "public" forums.

If you disagree or not, take the time to respond.

I am starting to get the impression that some of the PML think themselves to be above the rest of us simply because they pay a $5 fee every month. Just let me know what others think on this subject.

I read your posts...when they are on subjects I'm interested in (just like everyone elses), and No I don't consider myself better than anyone. I recently (within the last four months) became a Premium Member because I felt it was the right thing to do and & am able to do so. My way of saying thanks to Steve for putting WDWMagic out there for us. :wave:

I think the only thing PML's seem to clamp down in is trolling. Personally, I don't want to have pay for a site, and then have my experience ruined by someone.

I became Premium because I felt guilty for all the bandwidth of Steve's I was using, so it's my way of saying thank you. I certainly didn't do it to get a feeling of superiority (I have that already :lol: j/k) :wave:

This poll has no benefit at all to the community, other than to basically attack members who are kind enough to financially contribute to the site. Without their support there would be no website.

If you dont like the fact that this forum has a paid membership structure, I would suggest that you find another website to visit.

If there are specific posts, regardless of what membership status the poster has, please use the report to moderator feature and I will look into it.

If I might add something, Premium Members as a whole are the people who care about what happens on the forums more than most everyone else. Our contribution might be minor but with our $5/month we have made an investment here. Of course we are going to feel a bit protective if we feel there is something inappropriate going on. If you check the full list of Premium Members, there are quite a lot of us. Collectively we make a difference. It's the least we can do, for all Steve has done for us.

I feel that these are the best public forums I have ever posted on, because of the respect you get from every member here. I totally disagree with the fact that they think they're "higher" than us. For the amount of time that i've been here, they've treated everyone the same in my eyes.

We all know this perception is out there. We even make fun of it in PML. Trust me, Danno, there is nothing to it. The only people we feel "superior" to are the trolls and assclowns who try to stir up trouble around here (not including you in that heading). Anytime anyone in PML even tries to suggest that Member X shouldn't post such and such because they don't pay to be here, they're quickly pounded to a bloody pulp and forced to tend bar in the Lounge for a week. I don't agree with your premise at all. The primary reason I pay is not to have some 'special place' but to support a great site that Steve has worked hard to create. Have you priced leased or colocated servers recently? Or bandwidth?

Well, this poll really isn't going to turn out the way you were hoping.

Most of the "regulars" on during the day and night are Premium Members...and if they chose the way you felt, they'd be degrading themselves.

Another thing...If Steve noticed this activity, he'd do something about it. I don't feel that Steve would let this sort of thing slide because he was getting paid from the person.

Like somebody said, there are "private" jokes that may get carried over into Chit-Chat and other forums that originate in the PML...but it's not like we sit in there and pick apart different "non-contributing" members. (And I hate saying that because even the "non-premium" members are big contributors to the site.)

Dan, take a deep breath, sit back, relax, think happy thoughts, and WDWMagic may soon become the Neverland, where one feels like a kid again, it once was.
