New Imagineer Introduction Thread

Hey everyone, your local Happy Haunt here, just found this section of the forums and thought it be a good place to share some of my ideas. Cheers!
Glad to welcome our 999th Imagineer! Often new participants like to mention their favorite Disney attraction...which perhaps you already have. How about home park?

That One Sentence Competition is the best jump-in-and-play game going on right now. Here is the discussion thread for an upcoming gigantic Imaginnering game, Sorcerer’s Apprentice 5. For now, simply an all-purpose discussion thread.

Beyond those, the ongoing One Little Spark Competition is the current biggie...but it’s mostly teams working silently in private messages at the moment.

No matter, a warmest welcome!

As much as I like to imagine WDW is my home park, the closest theme/amusement park to me is Six Flags Great Adventure.

And actually Haunted Mansion is second to Tower of Terror as my favorite attraction, I just really liked the username haha

Hello! I'm Disneyrailfan1996, but you can call me Jack. I'm not new to the boards, but I believe I am new to the "Imagineer" section of the forums. I am a model railroader, and an amateur filmmaker and editor (I edit random stuff in my spare time often, lol). I am a HUGE fan of the Walt Disney World Railroad (and all disney railroads/trains) and Walt Disney's Carousel of Progress. On both attractions i've had interesting experiences and seen different things on both including riding the train at night AFTER fireworks (No joke! it was a once in a lifetime experience! I hope they do it more often) and seeing the VR Game in act 4 on COP not working (TV would be stuck on the game over screen). I'm also a bit of a nerd for how things work (you could even call me a gear head)!
I look forward to armchair imagineering as I am VERY prone to having new ideas and what ifs!

Hey Jack! Welcome to this side of the forums! We would love to see your ideas! I’m actually about to start a 5 week challenge today! If you would like to join find the Time for A Disney Overhaul: Villian Takeover thread. New members also join the One Sentence Competition. There is two places to showcase your ideas! Hope you have a fun time showcasing your ideas!

Hello and welcome! I look forward to your Imagineering ideas, whether they appear in an upcoming competition or instead in a solo project presentation.

@nated1226's game should be a fun one if you're interested in that. We have the Sorcerer's Apprentice game starting up on January 1st with slots available if you're interested in doing some fun team-based brainstorming. That hype thread is a good all-purpose conversation thread too if there's anything random you'd like to share...like perhaps some model railroad projects? :D I'd love to see that!

So I'm not a new Imagineer, but I did want to just let everyone know that I, PerGronStudio, have had to go and make a new account due to too many issues with my old one (including an inability to post pictures, share links, and every post of mine being submitted for Mod approval) hopefully this new account works! Thanks and I look forward to continuing imagineering!

We'll be sure to welcome you back to the Imagineering boards as soon as the mods approve it! ;P

Hey, my name is ObscurityPoint, a Midwesterner with a passion for theme parks and conceptual design. I am a Disney and Universal Studios fan with a strong attraction towards the histories of old and defunct rides that I write articles about on my website. I also love to draw and design my own layouts and conceptual sketches including re-imaginings of already existing theme parks and entirely custom maps and attraction layouts.

I'm currently an aspiring mechanical engineer and have a strong niche for architecture and design. My favorite parks are Epcot, Hollywood Studios, Cedar Point, and Universal's Islands of Adventure. I plan to head out west this summer to visit Disneyland and Universal Studios Hollywood for the first time. My favorite rides range from the Haunted Mansion to Jurassic Park River Adventure to Space Mountain; it's hard to choose just one!

I've always been familiar with this site but have only recently gotten involved. I'll probably share a lot of my personal concepts I design and work off of the ideas and recommendations I get from this awesome community.

Hi! Another Midwesterner here. Live about 45 minute from Cedar Point, and also love old classic rides. I've created several complete parks for Theme Park Insider competitions. What's the website for your creations?

That's awesome! I'm about 45 minutes- an hour away from Cedar Point too; I'm usually a season pass holder. My website right now is obscuritypoint.yolasite.com , however it's brand new and I haven't uploaded any of my designs to it yet, just a few articles on defunct rides. I'll probably end up showing off some of my maps on here first.

I stumbled across this about a year ago (I think). If you haven't seen it, you might be interested in it.

That’s very interesting. Thanks for that, I never heard of it but now it’s been added to my list of future topics to cover! :)

Hello! So excited to find this forum for "armchair imagineering." I'm a dreamer and am very imaginative- I spend hours thinking about ideas for amusement parks. So, I'll be thrilled to share some of my ideas here!
Welcome! Check out the Sorcerers Apprentice Game that is going on right now! Sadly, the game is going on right now and can’t let anyone in, but it’s so fun to read all the entries!! We just posted our entries for a new flat ride.
