Sitting down at the railings was against the rules? I know sitting ON the railings was prohibited, but never knew sitting at them was. Not that I have, but still.
Noo... You were asked to sit down if you were at the front. And the next few rows back. Basically so everyone had a good view.

Kind of like common sense but even so.

Oh, gotcha. Typically if I'm at the fence, which is rare, it was over at Canada where sitting down would not apply, as all you'd see is the maple leaf carved fence.

I didn't realize I was complaining. But I won't bow down before you and apologize, Zod.

I don't even really have an issue with it, beyond them taking prime viewing areas that people pay $100 a day for, and making people pay an upcharge ... all to see a tired show that was planned to be retired in 2001 originally.

Enjoy your Pixie Dust.
If you weren't aware that you were complaining, let me help you with some insight. In the 8 years I have been visiting this site (daily) it has become apparent that, more often than not, if you are posting then you are complaining.

I normally don't respond to your posts as you are incapable of having an actual discussion and immediately respond with childish remarks and name-calling...and of course you didn't disappoint. Just because someone doesn't agree with your (usually) irrational responses doesn't mean they feel Disney can do no wrong.

And while I somewhat agree somewhat on the "prime viewing areas" you are talking about the largest show with the absolute most viewing areas.

Also, please stop with the $100/day sensationalism. When I book on Disney's site, I pay $40/day; while I am sure not everyone books that many days, I would bet many more people book multi-day.

Oh, and it's kneel before Zod.

We usually get to ws plaza at 8pm to have "our view". Does this now mean that the whole plaza will be off limits to those who don't pay for this event? Or is it strictly contained to the area at the railing that is usually closed due to wind direction?

With regard to my comments, I'm more than willing to pay top dollar for a quality experience, but I have no intention of throwing money down a rathole.

My concern is that costs are skyrocketing with little to no improvement in quality. In contrast, at DCA the quality has grown enormously over the past few years and I believe the value is worth the money I pay for the experience.

How others spend their money is their business. I personally feel that cheerleading decreased value is in not something I like to do.

I think their point was to wait until someone sees it first yes?

This is the problem. Disney is charging $50 for a drink, dessert and a view of the fireworks that used to be included in the price of admission and people are foaming at the mouth to fork over the dough.

We get what we deserve I guess.
No one has to. I can get a drink and some desert for much less and still enjoy the show with a great view. Disney knows plenty spend that money though. The designated areas don't bother me, I just don't see how people justify spending that kind of money for these things.

I can't think of one time in recent memory where i've seen this practice in action and i'm at the park quite a bit.

You left out the number 1 reason many people including myself will line up for this.

Not having to deal with other people.

The single worst thing about parade or fireworks viewing at WDW is having to defend your territory against people who see no problem with squeezing into the 6" of air you left between you and railing in front of you 5 minutes before the fireworks start. I gladly drop a little coin to not have to deal with that.

I agree with what you're saying, but with emphasis on "a little coin", not FIFty bucks!

Oh, a follower of mine. Thanks for reading!

But I haven't been here eight years, it only feels like it.

I am quite capable of discussing things. I wouldn't be nearly as successful (both here and in the real world) if I couldn't. I don't recall ever talking with you, so perhaps you have the roles reversed?

Irrational? Not moi. ... Perhaps, people who truly believe Disney can do little or nothing wrong. That's not you, is it?

And while I somewhat agree somewhat on the "prime viewing areas" you are talking about the largest show with the absolute most viewing areas.

Not so much anymore. They've added two eateries on the water with a third to follow. Many of the prime viewing areas have been given away to be sold by special events/convention services. ... I don't really care as I have seen the show hundreds of times and it is so very tired. But I am thinking that by 2024, Disney will replace the show with something I might wish to see.

Also, please stop with the $100/day sensationalism. When I book on Disney's site, I pay $40/day; while I am sure not everyone books that many days, I would bet many more people book multi-day.

$100 a day isn't the cost of entry? ... If I am wrong, please let me know.

Oh, and it's kneel before Zod.

Not for my special fanbois, so not for you.

Here's a review. I expected the location to be in world showcase on the south (I think) side of the lagoon. Instead it's between the two shops at the entrance to WS figure world. Like had really high hopes but after viewing this review I'd probably just get a giant slush and pastry from France instead :(

Thank you for posting this review, this amount of detail is much more helpful than what we had so far.

Unlimited prosecco? All that room to roam while you watch the show? FIFty bucks is starting to seem more reasonable. Althought they HAVE to improve the desserts, because that was pathetic.
If you are having a dessert "party" and you don't serve chocolate? It's not a party, it's a sad dessert funeral.

Thanks for posting this review! I look forward to seeing if they change up the dessert selection. I could certainly put away the wine, cronuts, and Mickey Bars! I agree that additions representing the other countries would be great, though. IllumiNations is my favorite show, and I think this would be a great way to spend an adults-only special night out.

Why is it any of your concern on how people spend their vacation money. Just because you can not justify it does not mean lots of other people have no problem spending $49pp for the event and not have to justify it with you!!.

Calm yourself, it wasn't a personal attack.

Your the one who made the comment about people justifying spending $49 for this event. If you can not take someone who does not agree with you and point out no one needs to justify anything to you then maybe you shouldn't post a comment like that. Oh wait your name says it all....pSSSSSSSSS that's the air leaking from you big head being popped.

For me $49 is not a lot of money and there is no justification on my end. I spend what I WANT ...not what I can justify to strangers.
