Well, yesterday with the rain the new gift shop became the FEMA Disaster Recreation Photo Op with sandbags pulled up alongside the main walkway door.

It was a day where Tiana was down most of the day, Haunted Mansion was down the afternoon through about 10ish. Runaway Railway was down which made me go to Car-Toon Spin, which went down when I was line the queue. Went to Space Mountain, which went down as I entered it. And then got walked off Pooh after Tiana reopened at 11. So...I'm clearly the problem here.

Were sand bags a common sight throughout the park that day? Or just in poorly planned areas?

Regarding the issue of the HHG cut-offs, I think the main issue is that since they're flat projections close to the mirror, they're more affected by the viewing angle, so taller riders can see them "clipping" through the front of the doombuggy. The physical ghosts were set back at the same distance as the buggies, so they more or less appeared to be cut off at the same point regardless of viewing angle.

Rode classic Haunted Mansion for the first time in over a year and a half and saw the new bride in person. Somehow she’s even more disappointing in person. I think I can actually say I prefer Constance to the new bride. This new bride just looks like a flat projection on a wall. She doesn’t look three dimensional. Her face doesn’t emote. She’s not scary or interesting. All around L.

I like the new projections in the graveyard. Not sure how I feel about them flying on the ceiling though. Not sure we should be drawing attention to ceiling tiles and lighting.

The hitchhiking ghosts actually looked better in person. Don’t get me wrong - they look flatter and obviously less three dimensional than the original effect. I also prefer the old green hue to the bright blue color they are now but I didn’t really notice the cut off. Not sure if they adjusted it or it was less noticeable because we crammed four of us into one doombuggy. I looked at the vehicles to the left and it was hardly noticeable as well and that was with me trying to look for it.

First time going through the new queue. Waited in about a 40 minute standby line and was moving nearly the entire time until we got to stretching room and the CM just had us standing in there for almost 5 minutes without saying a word. Outdoor queue is really great. I really love the landscaping and the elevation changes throughout the queue.

This little “Easter egg” would feel a lot more natural without the cartoony font on the dog bowl. Not sure what they were going for there.

I don’t like how you can see some sort of exposed steel structure right next to Splash Mountain from the HM switchbacks now.

Anyway, really great to ride classic Mansion again and to see the OG stretching room in all its glory. Hoping cooler heads prevail there and it survives for years to come.

I know this has been touched on before, but I absolutely cannot believe they decoratored the Home Depot shed giftshop with AI garbage. Like, I mean, I CAN, but I can't fathom being a pioneer of the industry, charging guests almost $200 a day for a one park trek, and having the best artists in the world at your disposal..

And....

Then doing THAT.

What is even worst is they couldn't by two and use one for Red Trolly barn.

As I've said before - it may look similar to the shed, but it is not the shed. If it were a pre-fab, we'd be able to tell from the construction. It simply isn't - that steel framing etc is not how you install pre-fab's. There's just no way for it to be this shed y'all say it is, although I wouldn't be surprised if it's based on that design.

When did you say this? What does pre-fabricated metal stud construction look like?

Oh my bad I must not have said it on this site, sorry. Well, as far as I can tell at least, it's a wooden framed shed. And I remember seeing somebody talking about it a while back. So here's what I did - I reached out to ask them for details regarding construction. Will report back.

Can confirm it is a wooden building, not steel, and the dimensions of the building are different. See here for details - https://legacypostandbeam.com/kit-and-upgrade-diagrams/#residential-commercial

It is my opinion after my conversation with Legacy Post and Beam’s customer service that it is definitively not the Armstrong 4236, but if it was truly designed by merchandising instead of WDI, they may have worked with LP&B on design.

I was one who pointed it out. And the reason I take issue is because it seems a lot like you took what I said and tried to pass it off as your own. If you could actually tell from the construction photos you wouldn’t have had to contact Legacy nor would you be thinking that anyone would go to a wood designer for steel work. You’ve been warned by others about trying to hard to be a known insider and this is the kind of thing that isn’t going to help being a trusted source.

Being a kit and pre-fabricated are not the same thing. Legacy Post and Beam’s kits are pre-cut but have minimal pre-fabrication.

Steel stud framing can be prefabricated and it’s not going to look much different from doing the framing on site. The same would be true of wood stud framing. The use of pre-fabrication is also not indicative of using something that is pre-designed or from a kit. A small site in a theme park would be a great candidate for utilizing at least some pre-fabrication as you’re not taking up park space for storage and cutting of something like studs; that is done somewhere else whether it be just another job site or a factory.
