I thought this was a Forbidden Forrest theme but after thinking about the movies I guess it would be castle grounds but Universal is said to be planting a bunch of trees which would be the FF. Now I have confused myself.

Potter and friends have had a few adventures in the FF anyone sure they are using a motorcycle for the ride vehicle? It would make sense to use the car then you could use that for the spider encounter and it would make sense for when you go up the incline to a dead stop like when they got the car stuck in the whomping willow.
I've heard it's supposed to be Hagrid's motorcycle.

Some major plot themes have happened in the FF. We haven't seen anything about Hagrid and the FF except for when they brought the dragons in. Other than that Hargid and the FF is an unknown.

This is all pointless but you guys like to argue about theming.

The Ford is involved with Potter's escape, runs along the train and into trouble, meets up with a whomping willow, boys are scolded, off to the FF for a spider encounter. I'm not sure why Universal would use a motorcycle with a sidecar? It was used in the movies but does anyone have a good argument against the Ford? I think that is the logical choice for this attraction.

the motorcycle just seems like a fanboy thing to me.
Basically the reason why the ford isn't used, from what I can tell, is because universal wants to use it as a thrill element. Which is lame, but makes sense since universal is used to flying cars already.

EDIT: Plus so many guests are used to car vehicles in terms of rollercoaster. Having a motorbike adds an extra thrill element and draw to the ride.

There is plenty relating Hagrid to the Forbidden Forrest.

I’m so excited for this but so upset that I probably won’t get a chance to ride it for years
On the plus side, I guess that whenever I do go back (probably 2021), I can probably make a 2-day plan for Universal instead of just 1.

After The Prisoner of Azkaban, the Weasley's Ford runs off and then is feral in the Forbidden Forest. In this ride, at the curve before the first launch the Ford Anglia comes towards the coaster as you zoom around it.

I believe the setting for this ride is the Hogwarts Castle grounds on the edge of the Forbidden Forest.
The Forbidden Forrest is entirely within the Hogwarts grounds. It doesn’t make sense to literally plant a forrest that features many of the highlights of the Forbidden Forrest but it not actually be the Forbidden Forrest.

I think part of the coaster will be in the Forbidden Forest like the spike, Devil's Snare, and Fluffy. With the front part of the coaster where the water feature, grounds keeper hut, and large castle structure are not in the forest. That's why I said on the edge of the Forbidden Forest.

My biggest thing is I DON’T want Grawp. He is one of the most pointless storylines in the books and films and should be entirely cut out.

I’m curious if when this ride is set. In general, Hogsmeade is set in Year 4 while Diagon Alley is largely in Year 7 (with a couple inconsistencies).

"The Wizarding World Is Timeless" - official response in the Harry Potter training for Universal when asked that question. The only attraction with a specific time is Gringotts.

No Forest There! Sorry, I was feeling a little pick on, when I mentioned the Forbidden Forest and was jump on,
leading to a discussion of Hogwart's Grounds and if they had any connection to the Forbidden Forest.
