At about the 9 minute mark of this video you'll see the tower sitting in the middle of the Jamaica area of the resort.

Now that was an informative video!
Very nice.
It also succeeded in making me homesick for Beach Club.
The family spent so much time riding those boats, and walking those walkways along International Gateway, Boardwalk, Swan & Dolphin, Hollywood Studios.

That wall really is massive at the HS station.
I wonder why? Just storage?

Personally, I would have loved to seen the gondolas coming around the end of the station as you exit HS.

Oops. No one was on the lift at the time.

What would have caused this? Not releasing the gondolas back onto the haul rope?

I’m guessing once they started crashing into each other, the haul rope just continued to move thru the attachment clamp on each cab?

Certainly gives a testament to the ability for them to hold onto the haul rope during unforeseen situations.

Station was unmanned during maintenance. Possibly running in reverse with safety systems bypassed. Maintenance personnel error was also ruled the cause of the widely publicized chairlift rollback in Georgia last winter.

I'm now of the belief that the support columns are likely to be painted a color within their respective parks or hotels.
A Caribbean blue or something at Caribbean beach.
That blue color that they use in Hollywood Studios.
Green at International Gateway.
Columns will likely be unpainted outside of the park and hotel areas.

Very unlikely they will paint them now that they are up, especially since we can see on at the that IG that was pre-painted.

Also, the one right in front of DHS's station was painted a ever slightly beige color as well. It'd be more work and more money to do it now rather then at the factory.

Does anyone know when the gondolas are slated to open? Is it supposed to open around the same time as galaxy's edge or before?
