Still, more progress and when you start putting in the decorative additions, it gives you the feeling that they are getting
closer to getting the whole system operating.

Is there a chance that they would open the CBR to DHS loop for a few weeks of testing with real guests before putting the full system online? The weeks surrounding Easter certainly have a few extra bodies they need to move around

Several insiders have said it's unlikely that they'd only open up one or two ropes without opening all three at once.

I can't see any scenario where they open this until all 3 lines are 100%+. It would not surprise me if we see this thing running for weeks if not month(s) before any guests are allowed onboard. Unlike buses, this will require lots of extra training of the RCFD teams for emergency response in the event of a real emergency not to mention all of the operational and safety training for CM's that will be operating the system and coordinating load and unload efforts. This is a totally new (to WDW) transportation system and they'll want to be more than 100% confident it is all working perfectly before they put the first guest in the air.

The site that shall not be named is reporting that IG entrance to Epcot is going to be closed for a few weeks in Nov/Dec for the stringing of cable. Any truth to that? I can imagine a lot of annoyed guests at the Epcot hotels. I had heard previously that the boats will be down during that time, but this is the first I've heard that IG itself would be closed... I know I'd be upset.. I'm staying at the Beach Club in Feb, and the *main* reason I booked there was because of the IG entrance to Epcot.. If it closes during my trip, I won't be a happy camper, and I'm sure many others going in December feel the same way.

Although it seems odd to me, as the skyliner location doesn't seem like it would affect the IG, so it seems to me that traffic could be routed around whatever they are doing...

I don't know about the timing but I expect we are going to see lots of seemingly random closures all along the system route once they start stringing the ropes. They aren't going to want a guest anywhere near any of that process until the ropes are in an anchored state. And since they will not be able to do that all at night (worker safety), area closures may indeed be necessary once they start that process.

Just saw this. We have the Grand Villa at the Boardwalk reserved for a week during this time! The whole purpose of staying at the Boardwalk for us is the walking distance to Epcot. There'll be 6 little kids staying with us. 3 under 3.
