Sort of related... What the general build suitability of this plot? It seems a little prime for a boutique hotel tower or something.

Also, looked like cargo containers two weeks ago, and now they're putting drywall on the outside??

They are clearly not cargo containers. Since that picture was take the outside walls were insulated and then covered with another wall materials. The are shaped like cargo containers, but they are clearly a permeant part of the station.

That is an awfully large pile of dirt/sand next to the central station they have created. I wonder what's it for. I would have said to fill in that swamp land circled in green, but its designated to be a pond. Any ideas?

Does everyone other than @danlb_2000 have me on ignore or something? I said earlier in the day:
The two structures aren't in the concept art for the Pop/AoA station:
https://forums.wdwmagic.com/threads/new-gondola-transportation-disney-skyliner.924477/post-8032964

Although if you zoom into the first concept art picture, you can see a blue square on the right-hand side of the station that might correspond to one of these buildings. And in the second concept art picture, you can see an opaque structure at the "back" of the station that doesn't have an symmetric pair on the front (from the camera perspective).

At about 6 feet wide, these don't look wide enough to be restrooms. They seem to have one door and a single small "porthole" window, so I don't see them as control booths, plus why would you have two separate ones?

BTW, @danlb_2000, can you add a link to the first concept art post from your initial post? They are:
1. First look at concept art: https://forums.wdwmagic.com/threads/new-gondola-transportation-disney-skyliner.924477/post-7988587
2. Additional IG, DHS concept art: https://forums.wdwmagic.com/threads/new-gondola-transportation-disney-skyliner.924477/post-8274905
3. Pop/AoA concept art: https://forums.wdwmagic.com/threads/new-gondola-transportation-disney-skyliner.924477/post-8032964
Or maybe people only look at @MisterPenguin's drawing? I do admit they are attention getting! (And I love them, they make me laugh!)

And just so we can just ignore everything from that original post earlier in the day, I'll ask my questions again :) :
1. Why would you have two separate control booths?
2. Why would the control booths only have small porthole windows that start 6 feet off the ground? That makes me think that these are restrooms, but the structure is only about 7 feet wide*, which doesn't seem wide enough for a restroom.

* Edited to add: I estimate 7 feet from counting the studs, which I assume to be 16" on center. It could be anywhere between 6 feet and 8 feet wide. As a separate estimate using 36" as the door width, I estimate 6 feet for the building width. Standard commercial toilet stalls are 3 feet by 6 feet.

That area was not in the original permits, but was added in an amended permit a couple months later. The permits indicated that this would be a laydown yard. At the time I had assumed it would be used for materials needed to build the station, but it's never been used that way. Normally when earth gets pilled up like that it's to compact the soil. Maybe this will be used to stage equipment for pulling cables, or used to stage maintenance equipment after construction is complete.

There's a large window next to the door.

What is the job market like for a person with these qualifications?
I have to think the pool of applicants will be very small.

Experienced ski lift mechanics, electricians and maintenance managers are in extremely high demand because there aren't enough of them. Ski industry pay is dismal compared to other lines of work so I could see the appeal of moving to a warm climate to earn more money. The problem with that job posting is lift mechanics and managers generally don't have engineering degrees. Many don't have a degree at all and worked their way up from lift operator to supervisor, mechanic, foreman, etc. learning long the way. Disney could poach someone from Doppelmayr or Leitner-Poma for the top job?

Ah, I see. That window is only visible on the BlogMickey pictures, and only on the one "rear" building. And there are actually two (or three) doors to that building, one (or two) on the end(s), and the one next to the big picture window, right? And then the two porthole windows high up on the other half of the building.

Yeah, I don't know if we've seen the front of the near building. If it only has the high windows and the end door, it might be just storage or electrical equipment, as I think this is the only station that's open on all sides with no attached structures.

Maybe they are indeed restrooms. Pop and CBR are the only station staffed by folks that wouldn't have a nearby restroom. And, maybe, CBR's is being built within the building and we can't see it.

Rest rooms etc for the CMs?

Apparently everyone ignores me too! 3 pages of discussion later and finally someone agrees with me. :D
