It's been said that Gondola timing will align with (before) the opening of Star Wars. I wonder if there's also certain strategy in place regarding the timing of the Epcot/FW redo, trying to traffic guests from the front entrance of the park (through the ruble of a FW refurb) and through the back WS area. I'm sure this Gondola system will lesson front gate traffic.

Another poster (sorry I forgot who exactly) indicated a private DVC entrance next to American Adventure as part of a future resort -- another back of the park access point.

Here's a quote from @WDW1974 from his thread:

They seem to think of the resorts primary 'perk' as being the location, not the amenities (otherwise there would be better amenities at the resorts).

Yeah, I get that. But they are also not mutually exclusive. Other discussions have gone into the plans to add concierge floors (or buildings) to some of the resorts, possibly all as time rolls on, so it's not just location. It can't be. You aren't going to be able to charge 300/night for a room at AOA, even if a costumed castmember runs you personally over to the park in a rikshaw. There have to be perks beyond that.

They've already shown people will pack in at that price level for the location.. but if they could charge more, they would be. So they have already hit the pricing threshold, and Disney thinks in multiple dimensions.

No, the person he quoted is incorrect. Coronado isn't being upgraded to a deluxe resort. Its adding more upscale rooms which will be more business oriented, but its not going to be a deluxe. Caribbean is adding DVC which will make it a mix of DVC and moderate.
So, will there be a "Value" DVC resort in the near future?

It will not matter. We still label attractions as A, B, C, D, and E ticket. They will always be Value, Moderate, and Deluxe to us. :D Heck, some people still say Disney-MGM Studios.
And Downtown Disney...

Do we really need bad, old jokes on this thread? We have been doing so well so far.
Perhaps I can sponsor the "Sense of Humor" experience, charging $19.95 per person to hear bad, old jokes while riding the gondola between stations... for $29.95, you can also hear bad, old jokes while waiting in the queue at the station.

I wish they would extend the river out of Animal Kingdom over to the Lodge for boat transportation. It's always seemed freaking crazy to me that you still have to take a bus to a park that is right next door and even shares the same name.
Thanks to @rfc0001 for bringing the line down to AoA/Pop, now we have an updated map:

So there have been no permits indicating a PopArt station yet, right? Anything official that suggests the station would be in the middle of the lake and not at the north end of the resorts by the Little Mermaid and 50s buildings?

No permits, and there probably won't be until construction is ready to start. This location on the bridge was "confirmed" by hints throughout this thread.

I very much doubt that.
How could they pull off a value DVC? You can't reduce the cost of the amount of points. You can only make it so it's cheaper to stay there (number of points needed) but the problem with that is all the people that bought points when they were 60-85 dollar a point and have 500 of them would really be the only people to reap the benefits of this. The people that buy new at just say 175 pt will get a longer booking window but they would have paid 3 times as much money to stay at a lesser resort.

I'm not going to dig through all these pages but I've read them all. From what I understand, this system will consist of three lines? Can someone confirm that? I highlighted what I understood as the three gondola lines on the map.

These permits only deal with water management. The station on Hourglass Lake is not likely to impact anything. It's surface area is already surface area of the lake and it can drain right to the lake.
