Not to drag this out any longer, but Pandora is not a fair comparison because that's not specific to certain resorts. The monorail would be a fair comparison. Why is WL so much cheaper than CR, GF and the Poly? They all have boat access to the MK, so it must be the monorail.
Agreed, Pandora is not the same thing. The only reason I brought it up was to highlight that Disney didn’t and likely won’t announce a price increase due to something new opening. The price increase will happen but it won’t be publicized as an increase due to the gondolas.

Will the Gondola’s mark the end of rooms at POP ever being under $200 going forward?
No they won't:

The first nights on that calendar can already be booked, but they don't appear to have loaded the standard rooms into inventory yet for those dates. I'm sure they're coming, though. You can book a pool view at Pop for the earliest of those dates for $5 more per night. Those can be booked right now.

There’s an image floating around Twitter of an alleged gondola, however it seems as if the gondola is falling off and it’s covering is tattered and blowing in the breeze (which truckers would normally fix the second it happens), so I’m taking it with an enormous grain of salt...

I know it's another site's Twitter account but this is very notable.

This is 100 percent a CWA/Doppelmayr gondola cabin. It looks like a 10 passenger one but could be 8. The windows are more reflective than normal ones, presumably for UV reasons. It looks like multiple windows that open are on the front. There also is extra ventilation along the bottom.

A single cabin is sometimes used for terminal alignment before the haul rope is even up, which could explain this delivery. Just based on what we have seen, I'm guessing Doppelmayr has a staging area somewhere in the region where they unload shipping containers from Europe and load parts onto flatbed trailers bound for the park.

I heard the cabins were going to get wraps, but this exceeds all expectations. No more boring Micky and Minnie stickers. This wrap is fully 4D and interactive. Bravo! Disney, Bravo!
