Thanks! Can you tell me from where that was shot? Was it from that little island, or was it all the way into the "France mainland"?

They should have put in a short enough pole to dip the cabins in the canal.
AC - solved
Sight lines - solved
Cleaning the cabins - solved
Fear of falling - solved
Alligators - ...
OK. So it's not a perfect solution, but it's a start...
Good point...But if the gators get a few guests, that would help with the crowd problem.

#toosoonAlligators have to eat too.
I was on the bridge. Can’t remember exactly where but the pole behind the Eiffel Tower caught my eye. I did zoom in, which may account for the distortion.
Yup, that looks like the spot!Thank you again. The photo was likely taken very near the X on this map (on the island between the two bridges - it probably has a name and somebody will let me know what it is soon enough ) :

And also thank you for mentioning that the photo was zoomed. This information, your photo, and imarc's photo will help people determine to what extent the gondola tower placement will be troublesome to them.
I believe that's called Nomayonnaisein Island.Thank you again. The photo was likely taken very near the X on this map (on the island between the two bridges - it probably has a name and somebody will let me know what it is soon enough ) :

Buildings of all ages and types live together in the same place all over the world and nobody bats an eyelid. Castles are quite often found in modern cities next to modern building so why worry too much? Take a picture from the wrong angle of the pyramids in Cairo and you see the whole city including fast food outlets right next to them. So seeing a gondola tower next to the Eiffel Tower is no problem.

And what will everyone say when Paris installs a gondola system next to the real Eiffel Tower???Buildings of all ages and types live together in the same place all over the world and nobody bats an eyelid.
