Honestly, incorporating SOME sort of thematic element would go a LONG way to shutting everyone up.Maybe they just put some light up call sign letters on the tower and claim it is a broadcast tower not the one built by Eiffel. I suggest WWDW. Red and blinking at night would be my guess

They get a really big bow and arrow setup and a very good archer and attach the end of the cable to the arrow and let'er rip! Piece of cake, really!I really can't imagine how they are going to draw the cables over the towers above all those hotel rooms. Hope Disney does a video of that happening.
10,000 th post about a chair lift.

That'll be fun to watch.I really can't imagine how they are going to draw the cables over the towers above all those hotel rooms. Hope Disney does a video of that happening.

Still a year to go!With over 500 pages dedicated. The gondolas seem almost Spirited.
With a helicopter? Same way they string up power lines in the mountains.
I have been thinking the same thing since the idea first came up with the siteline of the tower via gondola. Why can't they think of this? It would be the perfect solution, to make a 1/4 scale replica of the Eiffel Tower and have the gondola line go through it. Okay maybe 250ish feet would be too tall... make it 1/8th scaleI'll kick it up a notch: Make the Eiffel Tower a gondola tower!
If they did it that way they would have to close off that section of the resort for safety reasons.
@Lift Blog : Any thoughts on how they will pull the cable over the buildings?
Why not just launch pull lines and pull up the heavier haul lines and ultimatly the heavy line
That is the way this is normally done, but I am trying to figure out how you get the pull lines over guest areas.
