It would be helpful if they opened up the UK and France pavilions early (like they do with Main St. USA in the MK) to help distribute the morning crowds. They don't have to open up the (future) rides there, just a few coffee stands and gift shops.

...now if they actually do this. That's a different question.

Les Halles is open.

There isn't anywhere in the U.K. Pavillion that sells coffee / breakfast is there?

And it would be a good idea if they kept the France pavilion (and maybe the UK if there's a new attraction there soon) OPEN an extra hour past park close... so folks could maybe think about a ride on Rat (once it's open) before heading out. That could reduce the crush of a post-illuminations exit surge.

Heck, what they should do is keep all of WS open an extra hour or so after Illuminations. Give guests the chance to get a drink or something... like it was in the olden days when close was regularly at 11.

I just learned today, the Bakery in France opens at 9a, and serves Mimosas.
Got to drink only mimosa's for the two hours until the rest of the World Showcase opens? The things I do for Drunkytown.
I'd pay $20 for a full English breakfast...

...hold the beer.
I do enjoy a good Full Monty (the breakfast you pervs).

Since I've been on an off topic crusade...could we have a Full Monty and a beer on the gondolas? My understanding is we'll be able to cook the eggs right inside since there is no AC.

I'm going to have to walk that area tonight I've never looked at it specifically with gondola in mind just trying to squeeze through bag check to metal detectors and the other day they were putting us all through the detector back there. That is so narrow.

Gondolas will have a griddle just for cooking breakfast

The current plan is to install these in each Gondola.

DP1030201417130165M

  • It reinforces the Disney brand
  • Offers an option to up-sell the gondola experience
  • "Frozen Summer Fun" marketing effect will make the gondolas feel cooler - no need for A/C
There are also discussions to add a full gondola character breakfast experience.

1) no idea
2) I hope I’m referring to the original "outside" plan that’s hopefully since been changed.

re:2

So going all the way back to last March, there was a discussion about this, which suggested the plan then was to have the gondolas in the secure zone. Until fairly recently, when you dropped the bombshell that there was now a plan to have them outside. And that second plan is what you're referring to?

But yes, let's hope they change it.

ETA: found the gist of the posts, just to remind myself.

Gateway will be redone, and subsequently expanded as a part of this. Expect closer to the amount of Tapstiles typhoon has. A giant security redo would also be in the works here. While I do not have specifics for Gondala run times (I dont know the exact plan), I would assume that they will be serviceable formore than an hour after park close, especially after SWL. While transport is main key, there is hope this will breath a few more people into Boardwalk. While this is step A in the transport overhaul, dont expect B for quite a bit later.
The only issue with this is guests exiting the gondola. The gondola station would be within the security check point.

They could build a new security check point out where the old tram turn around is and bring the turnstiles up to the existing security/bag check and extend it down to the boat dock.
That's the idea.
That's why I said this would work IF they pushed boat and gondola security screening out to the resorts.
Let me make sure I am understanding correctly:
So are you saying guests exiting the gondola will have already gone through security/bag screening and can go directly to the turnstiles?
I envisage the gondolas to be within the sterile zone, as the monorails will be.

So I wasn't imagining this, that's a relief! :D

Yeah, you're absolutely right. Shocking memory, it's a wonder we get any answers from you about anything.

Now excuse me while I go away and change, I think I wet myself laughing! ;)
