This project would be more appealing if the gondolas went to one of the hotels featuring interesting restaurants and an atmosphere suitable for strolling, like the Lodges. It would be great to hop in a gondola after a day at the park and glide to the buffet at AKL. As is, there isn’t much of interest at Animation or Caribbean unless you’re staying there - which I’m sure was part of the point, but is still a bit of a downer.

Well...

1. Riveria isn't built yet and who knows what stuff it will have and whether that would be a draw.

2. I actually would argue that a huge benefit is that a large number of people at CBR/AoA/Pop will now have a more direct connection to the Boardwalk area and could be a nice boon to the facilities there becoming more lively.

One thing that I can't help but wonder about is that there are lots of people (myself included) that aren't a fan of heights and have no interest in riding in a gondola. Monorails, planes, whatever aren't an issue, but I swear skyways, ferris wheels, etc., I think I'd rather have my eyes gouged out. :) It's obviously not a majority of people, but there are plenty that will look at the service with a thanks, but not thanks demeanor.

I’m sure there will be some, but these are enclosed gondolas as opposed to an open air skyway with your feet hanging down and just a lap bar. I think it will be closer in experience to riding the monorail then a Ferris wheel or traditional open air sky ride. There are some people who won’t ride the monorail either so I’m sure this will be an issue.

The simple solution is don't stay at a Gondola hotel and one will never have to worry about it. There are a whole lot of other options including not staying onsite at all. Those that don't want to ride the monorail can take the ferry. If one can't handle either, perhaps going to the beach is a good option.

Left out Minnie Van. They drop you at the MK if you are going there

Or they can stay there and just drive to those 2 parks. Plenty of people choose that option over Disney transportation even without a phobia.

That would make sense to want to “hide” them. From the pictures posted online they don’t really look too green, but things usually look different in person.

Galvanized Gray.
I hear ya. I’ve also been up close to the ones in the studios parking lot and they are very obviously galvanized gray. This one looks different to me. But again, my eyesight sucks at this point and you also can’t get as close. Regardless, I was pleased with the sight lines. It was non intrusive and not even visible from within the park so either way, I’m actually ok with it :)

Edit: lame comparison via my phone but comparison of studios and epcot with a picture from this site and the one I took tonight. It certainly could simply be the lighting. I get that but I guess I’m being hopeful lol

From this thread. Yesterday...

It's the greens throwing you off. Greys tend to 'pick up' nearby colors as an optical illusion. Here is the tower isolated, and using the 'eye dropper' feature of Photoshop to pick up the 'colors' in the tower, I painted them thicker to the side...

I do hope that the Eiffel Tower is reimagined, to be greater in scale, because it seems dwarfed by the support tower. Also, I wonder how visible it will be from other pavilions within World Showcase.
