Probably triple galvanized like marine structures. Unless you know differently I think this is what we get. They may try to epoxy coat them but I would think that would be done on the ground

Probably just leave them to weather View attachment 271289
Ezzackly.

If you paint them, you must continue to paint them. If you leave them galvanized, you just have to watch them for rust.

Definitely some hoping over here...

PERSONALLY I’d paint them green in the wooded areas, and maybe a Mickey motif/pattern closer to guest interaction areas.

I think they would look nice painted, though when you look at the concept art none of them look to be painted :(

Sorry. I didn't realize I was the only one allowed a guess.

How about This Here Spot 11/12?
Treasure Hunter Stash?
Totally Huge Sinkhole?
The Horizons Sinkhole, 11 meters across and 12 meters wide.

Sabotage ordered from corporate level on November 12, 1998, drills went in on January 11 at 2:00am. Then the operation failed and conventional demolition began. Case file for the conspiracy to cause sinkhole codenamed THS 11/12.

The plot thickens.

dear @Lift Blog (or anyone else, of course) -

in your knowledge and/or opinion...
what kind of rocking/sway can be expected in what wind conditions for a system such as the skyliner? what are wind speeds where actual ops are not advised?

thanks for your time, and, as always, for your insight... apologies if this was brought up before and i missed it

At the far end of the Hollywood Studios parking lot, construction continues on the structure that is a "turning point" between the gondola line over the parking lot and the line towards the Caribbean Beach Resort station. Beyond the green construction fence is a drainage ditch between the new Hollywood Studios entrance road and this structure. This "turning structure" is being built on the opposite side of the drainage ditch.

I was under the impression that the line from the CB station to HS is a straight line without any turns, and that the construction pictured is for the bridge over the canal the new entrance will use. Turning stations cost a significant amount of money to both build and maintain, as they are essentially two end terminals attached together. They are only installed when absolutely needed, and I don't see why there would be one here.

They swing most when they are empty. We stop running the Doppelmayr gondola I am in charge of at approximately 45 mph. Wind direction matters. Up or down the line is not as bad as straight across. Of course Disney will have lines going in every direction!

I realize that I’m coming in late in this thread and this may have been discussed already but seeing how often the Characters in Flight at Disney Springs is closed due to weather conditions I question how often the service will be closed. As I recall, back in the day, the gondolas at the Magic Kingdom were closed regularly due to weather.

Can you certify under oath and with a notary's signature that you have read all 415 pages up to now?

These will close every single day.

That is indeed correct, namely, there is no 'turning station' on the DHS parking lot.

There are only two turning stations and they are on the CBR <> IG rope. One turn is at Riviera which is also a load station, and one is in the BoardWalk Inn parking lot which is not a load station, just a turn.

In the post just before yours someone who works at a ski resort lift said that they run thier's in up to 45 mph winds.

I think there is a big difference between sending a ballon up 200ft compared to a gondola 50ft in the air or whatever the exact numbers are. I don’t find Florida to be too windy except in the summer right before a rain storm. I would consider the balloon a different story due to the height it reaches.
