But as @Lift Blog has pointed out, ski area gondolas also get used a lot by non-skiers in the summer months.

The folks that say that the reason gondolas work at ski areas because skiers are experienced at getting on and off with bulky equipment fail to note that they were all inexperienced first-timers at some point. Things seem to have worked out just fine on the slopes. I think they'll work out fine here as well.

In fact, gondolas are increasingly being built as beginner ski lifts, going completely counter to conventional wisdom. Beaver Creek started this trend and other places like Jackson Hole and the Yellowstone Club have followed with success. Not everyone can ski but almost everyone knows how to walk.

Work has begun at 5 of the 6 stations. The only station where we haven't seen any work is the turn station at the Boardwalk parking lot.
Is this because the work for this turn station won't be as extensive as the other five stations and won't need as much time, or are there other variables/obstacles at this location that must be addressed before any work can be done there?

Could be as simple as not enough construction crews to work on all of them at once.

That's a good question. Yes, it should be the simplest station since it's only for turns, but to build it the have to modify the pond that is there which add to the overall complexity of the construction.
