A 48v or 24v RV air conditioner can run off a few batteries for several hours.

I think it would be fine.

Or even just a simple powered fan would aid in moving the air better than a forced ventilation system.

If a normal battery were used to power the AC it would have to power it for the entire day since there would be no way to re-charge it while in operation. The system in London uses a super capacitor instead of a battery, since these can be charged very rapidly while the vehicle is passing through the station, but as a tradeoff they di-charge very quickly.

Tesla solar backed batteries.

Cleveland SkyLift, London Emirates Air Lift, even the SkyWheel in Poland...
I have not ridden them, but they are evidence of the existence of more than one air conditioned gondola system.
As far as I know the Cleveland Skyway is not built yet. It's a proposal at a similar stage as the one in Austin. The one in London is the only one I know of that's operating with AC but I think there is a second one in Hong Kong (Macau) that's attempting it too. There are a number of large ferris wheels with climate controlled cabins. That's a different setup since they can get power to them more easily.

Question: For those staying at the BW, YC & BC, would it be faster for guests to travel to/from DHS via the gondola, walking or water taxi?

Totally agree, but what was claimed was "The Gondola ride will also be shorter than all of those you list." which implies the entire ride and not each leg.

But the issue being discussed is how long you will be inside the gondola, which is likely to be less then 10 minutes.

It will depend on the speed of the gondola, but it may end up being pretty close. The gondola will move faster, but you will have to transfer at CBR so it will also depend on how long the line is at CBR.

You will exit. All three lines will terminate at the south CBR station.

What about these legs though?

Er what? I sure hope the waits aren't longer than HK. The Ngong Ping Cable Cars frequently have 60-120min waits from Tung Chung. It's a major tourist attraction.

I'm sure there are hundreds of warm weather examples... but personally I've been on summertime cable cars in Canada (many - I'm close to the Rockies), Canary Islands, Barcelona, Germany, Switzerland, Singapore, Japan, Australia, New Zealand, Rio + a few other South American cities.

Several of which the weather was approximating Florida, none of which had, nor needed A/C.

But yes, Florida is building a system that will kill people as you've expertly deducted.

Exactly, I have been on several of the ones you have mentioned as well and I don't remember any of them having air conditioning.
I have been in a few of them also during hot weather and the gondolas were actually very pleasant to ride.
The air seems to circulate in them comfortably and since they are elevated they catch the slightest wind that circulates thru the Gondola. I'm not sure why some people are so concern about safety or wether they have air conditioning or not these new systems are very efficient and are nothing like the old Gondola systems that many of us grew up with

Fair point -- so that begs the question: Would Disney post wait times for how long it would take to travel to said destination on a monitor or something? Because it is, in and of itself, a ride.
