New Frozen Show replacing Aladdin at DCA

I would just like to point out that THEY ALREADY HAVE A FROZEN SHOW IN THE SAME PARK. A Frozen show which, by the way, I doubt will be closing anytime soon.

Considering that we in Florida still have the Frozen Sing-Along even though there's a Frozen ride opening in just a few months, I doubt the Sing-Along is going anywhere.

I understand complaints for one reason or another BUT what is the great FROZEN Hate about. It,s a hit movie like other Disney hit movies have been , it has great music but for some reason there is this hatred for anything frozen they try and do. Can someone explain the reaction to this film as oppossed to other disney films. I don't get it.
Was there Aladdin hating going on when they maximized the films potential dollar value?

I'm sad to see Aladdin go but I'm willing to give them the chance to impress me with a Frozen show. However good Aladdin is, it's still the same show that has been running for 12 years and I don't really like to see shows stick around for that long.

If they give Frozen a big enough budget and do it right then I'm quite happy with this change, although I would rather it be based on something else other than Frozen.

Let's hope they reopen Muppet Vision then and not leave the Building empty instead of converting it back to the Muppet Theater.

Gah. I'd rather have them bring BLAST! back than Frozen. Actually, with the upcoming live action B&B, surprised they aren't looking to a more Broadway-oriented show.

I'll luckily be visiting DCA for the last show, hopefully I can catch it.

I really don't understand the uproar. I'm sure Aladdin was never intended to be a permanent show in the theatre. Out with the old in with new, let's not let DCA get old and stale. Very excited for this new addition and I hope it is very well done!

Except Olaf didn't make any pop culture references in Frozen. Genie on the other hand did in Aladdin. So in that case, the show is/was just being true to the scource material.

There's a big difference between Robin Williams doing a Jack Nicholson impression and an annoying stout guy in a bad suit talking about Justin Bieber or whoever.

The Aladdin show has been around for 12 years and something new is needed. People like Frozen. Not that surprising.

If a new show is done well, I'm sure it will be embraced and successful.

Yes, but there's a REASON why Aladdin has been around for 12 years: it's been nothing but a massive hit. People love it! "Aladdin" features much-loved characters, exotic settings and some of the best-loved songs in the entire Disney canon: "A Whole New World", "Friend Like Me", "Prince Ali" and the like. Let's face it: the only song from "Frozen" that most people known is "Let it Go", and the only characters they like are Anna, Elsa and Olaf.

Not only that, but this show may serve for some as a window into learning more about 2D animation. We're in an age where CGI is pretty much the only form of animation you ever see. Kids see "Aladdin", then they go see the movie when they return home from Disneyland, and that expands their interest in 2D animation. If we shoehorn in "Frozen", that's just one more blatant advertisement for CGI.

A lot of us can't stand Frozen because it is EVERYWHERE. I didn't mind the movie at first, I never thought it was great, including the music, but it's been nearly two years since it was released, and now I hate it. Disney has put its sole focus into Frozen and it's starting to cloud their already not so great judgement. So far at the DLR, Frozen has replaced Tangled and Beauty and the Beast at Fantasy Faire, one of the movie references in Storybook, the Muppets, Mad T Party (Freeze the Night was a complete failure and thankfully Mad T was brought back), the majority of the character drawings in the Animation Courtyard, and now Aladdin, which pretty much doesn't have any recognition at all in the parks, especially after this decision. Frozen has its own window on Main Street, has its own pre-parade float in Soundsational, has the tallest float in Paint the Night, and its own segment in Disneyland Forever. The whole damn "Let it Go" song is in World of Color: Celebrate!. The. WHOLE. Song. That alone is unforgivable. All of the souvenir sippers at the snack carts have been Frozen-themed for two years. There's also a Frozen sing-along in DCA. Oh, and about a month ago, I found out the IHOP across the street from the DLR has Frozen posters hanging in both the men and women's bathrooms. Forgive us for being sick and tired of the Frozen nonsense.

Disney has had two animated films come out since Frozen, yet it's like they don't exist. I've had it with this IP. There's already too much representation of this film in DCA. The madness must end. I received a survey in regards to the DLR a few days ago to which I haven't started. Thank God I haven't, I am going HAM on it this weekend.
